SHAPING THE VISIONCASE FOR SUPPORT
“It is an absolute truth that nothing but goodness comes from the halls of St. Peter Chanel.”
-Pat Winslow ’71,Current School Board Member
IdentitySt. Peter Chanel High School — Catholic,
Marist, diverse, and transformative — is a
leader in secondary education in the Diocese of
Cleveland. As a Catholic school our
commitment is to empower young men and
women of diverse backgrounds to become
Christian leaders. The Marist tradition of
education includes the whole person — spirit,
mind, and body — teaching the St. Peter Chanel
student the Christian values and ethics essential
to their everyday encounters. This tradition
forms distinctive graduates who grow in their
faith, pursue lifelong learning, and achieve
professional success. Educated for adaptation
and change, our graduates are particularly well
prepared for leadership and service in the
communities in which they live and work.
Shaping the VisionThe vision process conducted throughout the
spring of 2012 has produced a collective vision
for the future of St. Peter Chanel. What we
learned from students, alumni, parents, faculty,
and the overall Chanel community has helped us
uncover what the stakeholders of St. Peter Chanel
see in the years that lie ahead. While many
specific decisions will need to be prioritized and
worked through to completion, we have well
thought-out guiding principles and a clear
direction for St. Peter Chanel over the next five
years and beyond.
