IPS e.max® ZirCADIPS e.max ZirCAD is the versatile and innovative zirconium oxide system suitable for the CAD/CAM technique in the dental laboratory.IPS e.max ZirCAD restorations feature very high strength values (850 – 1200 MPa) and high fracture toughness.
Telio® CADTelio CAD are cross-linked PMMA discs for the CAD/CAM technique. They are suitable for the fabrication of crowns, bridges and implant-supported restorations. Given the industrial polymerisation process, the material shows high homogeneity and is easy to process.
ProArt CAD WaxProArt CAD Wax yellow is suitable for the press technique and is especially coordinated with the lithium disilicate glass-ceramic IPS e.max® Press. The material burns out without leaving residue.ProArt CAD Wax blue is used for the casting technique. The thermalstability allows long-span restorations to be fabricated.ProArt CAD Wax pink are discs for the fabrication of wax try-ins andcustomised wax bite rims in complete denture prosthetics.
ProArt CAD SplintProArt CAD Splint are discs made of a clear PMMA material. They are especially suitable for the fabrication of occlusal splints e.g. for the treatment of bruxism and drill templates for implantology.
Long-term study: 97% excellent ratings! The noted US-based dental test institute The Dental Advisor has selected IPS e.max Press as one of the 2018 Top Award Winners in the category of Long-Term Performers. The award was preceded by a five-year study that involved 381 restorations. A total of 671 IPS e.max Press restorations were placed over a five-year period. Three hundred and eighty-one restorations were evaluated at the recall. The majority of these restorations were anterior and posterior crowns as well as inlays and onlays. The result: 97 per cent received a five-star or excellent rating. The restorations were not only clinically acceptable but also of superior aesthetic quality.
Praise from patientsMany patients remarked positively on the aesthetics of the restorations. Only six per cent of the restorations were slightly opaque and lacked sufficient translucency. According to The Dental Advisor, this could, however, be due to inappropriate ingot selection. Specifically for this purpose, Ivoclar Vivadent has developed the new, special IPS e.max Shade Navigation App (SNA) to ensure that the right ingot is selected.
Resistance to fracture and retentionLess than two per cent of the restorations evaluated exhibited fractures or chipping. This fracture rate is less than half the average fracture rate of ceramics documented by The Dental Advisor over the past 27 years. Moreover, only four per cent of the restorations de-bonded and needed to be re-cemented. This rate is similar to the de-bonding results of other all-ceramic restorations monitored over 27 years by The Dental Advisor and is related to the preparation and the cement rather than the ceramic.
Conclusion: High aesthetics, strength and durability IPS e.max Press has proven to be a very aesthetic, high-strength, durable material with excellent clinical performance over the five years it was monitored. Its performance has exceeded that of traditional porcelain-fused-to-metal restorations as well as other all-ceramic restorations.

Single anterior restorations are always a big challenge for the whole dental team. Utilising computer software to analyse the photographs can help significantly to achieve a successful result, even across great distances.
We chose IPS e.max Press MT ingot to provide a nice transition to the natural dentition. The MT ingot’s translucency is half way between dentine and enamel. For us the try-in is a crucial part of the process when trying to accomplish a close match between the restoration and the natural dentition.

Prosthetics
SR Vivodent S DCLSR Vivodent S DCL is the exceptional anterior tooth for sophisticated needs. The tooth line is designed to meet the individual needs of today’s and tomorrow’s patients.
Advantages• Innovative mould design• A-D and bleach shades• Closely imitate the properties of natural teeth• Highly cross-linked DCL material
Indications• Combination dentures• Complete dentures• Implant-supported complete dentures• Partial dentures
NEW
Highly cross-linked DCL materialThe new SR Vivodent S DCL tooth lines are entirely made of highly cross-linked DCL acrylic (Double Cross-Linked). This material consists of a distinctively modified variant of polymethyl methacrylate in which both the polymer and matrix are cross-linked.The result is a material that displays a higher compressive strength but a similar flexibility to conventional PMMA. For this reason, improved denture longevity can be expected. A sound bond of the denture teeth to the denture base material is another advantage of the DCL material.

BPS® & Suction-Effective Mandibular Complete Dentures Digital Workflows 1-day Live Patient DemonstrationMonday 23 July - Brisbane ICDE
Monday 17 September - Perth ICDE
Stephen McGlynn & Arnie Jabour
Comprehensive clinical and technical training, both in analogue and digital, on the steps in producing a BPS SEMCD Dentures. Participants will see: the primary, frame cut back tray (FCB) and secondary impression techniques, and learn to overcome the challenges of full denture treatment. Students will be encouraged to practice the following skills in their own clinics:
• Understand the importance of BPS SEMCD Clinical to the success of DigitalDentures
• Develop an understanding of the Digital Denture workflows
• Examination of suitability for suction-effective dentures
• Primary impression using Accudent XD & frame cut back tray (FCB)
• Scanning and Design Custom tray & Gnathometer CAD and conventionalGnathometer
• Final functional BPS SEMCD impressions + Scanning and Design of DigitalTry in.
• Determining the vertical and horizontal position with the GnathometerCAD (M) or wax rims
The course will be held in the ICDE clinic with a patient provided by Ivoclar Vivadent. The participants will be seeing, BPS - SEMCD Digital techniques. Stephen and Arnie will be taking primary impression and secondary impression, including bite registration. Model preparation, tray design set-up of pin tracer both digital and analogue.
Look forward into the transition from analogue to digital Removable Prosthetics. You will follow the BPS system protocols to produce precision complete dentures. BPS SEMCD Tray design and Gnathometer set-up techniques including digital workflows, will be demonstrated.
The importance of the current BPS SEMCD technical procedures, in the new rapid digital production of removable dentures, which integrates the BPS Clinical treatment steps in the dental practice with the digital denture manufacturing processes in the lab, will be demonstrated.
Workshops on characterisation and aesthetic techniques for precision dentures, will equip you with new skills in premium denture delivery.
Both Stephen and Arnie have spent the past 4 years practicing Dr Abe’s Suction Denture Impression method and completed Master Instructor training with Dr Abe. This experience enables them to teach these techniques, and combines them with the new Digital CAD and Manufacturing process.
