McGill Alumni Association – Case Study
Situation – The McGill Alumni Association and Parents Associations are some of the most active alumni groups in Canada, but were searching for a better way to communicate and engage with their alumni, students, and parent groups.
Solution: Develop a social media strategy with a central online social hub where the Associations could speak to their donor base formally and informally, celebrate the achievements of McGill Alumni, showcase an events calendar, and disseminate valuable information to McGill Alumni, student groups, and parents.
Implementation: Develop web and social media strategy, including
• An interactive portal with content strategy and editorial calendar
• McGill Parents Weekend Virtual Parents Tent video series
• Developed initial content strategy and management of McGill Alumni LinkedIn group
• Media monitoring and keyword alerts for content
• “With Love, from Mom & Dad” YouTube video
• 20 Alumni Updates, profiling successes of McGill Alumni
