SHAKARRY RADIO SHOW

FORMAT OF SHOW• The format of my radio show is commercial and its to the students

in college, the purpose is to provide entertaining music for my listeners. I have broadcast only one genre specific which is classic rock suitable for a certain audience for students. My show has a very familiar style to other radio stations but mine is a bit more fun. I do have a news segment by Connor during the radio show which tells you about the current news today to inform my listeners. Also my radio show is mainly relied on music as talking time is little, compared to giant radio stations like BBC Radio 1.The show is 1 hour long and will air during lunchtime. We presented the radio show in a casual joking way that most people would understand.

GENRE OF MUSIC• The genre of music I have chose for this radio show is classic rock

and the reason why I have chosen this because I thought it was suitable to play for my target audience and I felt like I would enjoy presenting this genre of music. Classic rock mainly ranges music from the late 60’s to the 80’s.

TARGET AUDIENCE • My target audience will mainly be teenagers and young adults, I

do see other ages getting into this music maybe some older adults but really its for anyone who wants to enjoy listening to them. Gender for this radio show is any and social class of Britain I say is any maybe except for the Elite class people who are most privileged class in Great Britain. This will be broadcasted to Manchester region only, demographically it’s for anybody. The ethnicity is not aimed towards anyone specific but for anyone who wants to listen the classic rock music. The music we have shown does not have any swearing in it so that's why I think anyone can listen to it freely.
