Shagreen is one of the most refined materials that exist, and, more importantly, one of the most inspiring. Why do we hold the beauty of Shagreen in such high esteem and for so long? It is one of the most beautiful natural designs ever in nature, it is very rare to find perfectly round, regular patterns. If you’re not convinced, just look at how pearls have fascinated people since time began. The pattern on Shagreen skin is formed from tiny grains. The back bone, not forgetting that this is a fish skin after all, draws quite a straight line, discretely but delicately emphasized in the centre by a few larger nicely rounded cells, like perfectly aligned while pearls. This beautiful texture is set off by delicate colour. Shagreen is often dyed in subtle shades of a green, grey or brown and then polished. The influence of great decorators undoubtedly contributed more than anything else to Shagreen’s noble status. It was through them that the material earned its place of honour. Once again it has been re-born through Aparici. Many have tried and failed, but not at the hands of this wonderful company. Shagreen es uno de los materiales más elegantes que existen y, lo que es más importante, uno de los más inspiradores. ¿Por qué es tan apreciada la belleza del Shagreen desde hace tanto tiempo?

Es uno de los diseños naturales más hermosos que existen en la naturaleza, siendo muy difícil encontrarlos con patrones perfectos y regulares. Si esto no es suficiente, sólo tienes que mirar cómo estas joyas del diseño han fascinado la humanidad a lo largo de la historia. El patrón del Shagreen está formado por minúsculos granos que dibujan una discreta línea recta qué enfatiza delicadamente en el centro con granos de mayor tamaño; sinuosamente alineadas como un collar de perlas. El conjunto de colores tan delicado hace que sea una textura muy armónica y cautivadora. Shagreen suele encontrarse en tonos sutiles y teñidos por un suave toque en verde, gris o marrón.

La influencia de los grandes decoradores, sin duda, ha contribuido a ensalzar la nobleza del Shagreen.
