In Singapore Pipe Jacking is commonly used to install new sewer and other utilities and Sgstt has

gathered several experts and practitioners in this area .Led by Prof Sterling , Past -Chair of ISTT and the

Trenchless Technology Centre (USA) , the team will share the recent developments and applications in

Pipe Jacking and related areas .

Mr Wing Chan

Mr Wing Chan graduated with qualifications in Mechanical Engineering Diploma, Advanced Project

Management Course (University of Calgary, Master in Management Program), Microtunnelling

Course (School of Mines, Colorado) .

He has been actively involved in trenchless pipeline rehabilitation and replacement technology in

USA and Canada since 1990, specializing in pipe bursting, tight lining, horizontal direction drilling

and microtunnelling .

He has served on NASTT NW Chapter, Calgary Section Board of Directors and currently on the

Board of Directors for both the Hong Kong and Singapore Society for Trenchless Technologies; Chair

Person for the International Pipe Bursting Association (Division of NASSCO, USA) .

He introduced WRc Sewer Condition and Assessment Course to Singapore and also as qualified

trainer for the Singapores certification program .

He is currently serving as Technical Director for Lian Shing Construction and a offering consulting

assistance to trenchless associates in the region.

Mr Li is an engineer with over 20 years experience in planing and management and operation of sewer and pipe jacking projects including the Bangkok Metropolitan works sewer projects and he has worked in SE Asia, Middle East , India and Algeria .Currently heis Senior Marine Manager with Hyflux Ltd

Mr Ben Hayes is Sales Manager at Herrenknecht AG

Mr. Ben Hayes as Sales Manager , is responsible for utility tunnelling and HDD equipment (less than 4.2m cut diameter) sales in Malaysia, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand. Prevuioly Ben worked for Al Naboodah Construction Company as project supervisor and manger , as well as section manager of Nishimatsu Ireland and several other tunnelling and microtunelling companies .
