RectifierThe rectifier is a hot pluggable FRU that converts site AC to AC and DC out.

The power bay only needs one rectifier installed to provide power to the components connected to it.

Web Interface (1 of 5) • Most info is passed to PSM GUI and that should be the primary tool to use• Valere interface is not accessible by PSM• You must connect a laptop directly to PB or an open port on the private network switch• A crossed Enet cable may be required• Set laptop to the same subnet of PB IP• Point browser to http://<PB IP>• Browser will auto-connect to port 22096• Access with standard login/password

Valere Power Inc. CLI (1 of 4)The power bay support a low-level command line interface. To access it, you telnet to the power bay. Login is Admin and the password is 5001. The power bay supportsonly one telnet session.

The CLI usage is as follows:

usage: verb object token [data]...

where: verb is get or set

• object is a category of tokens• token is an attribute name to be printed or set• data is the value used to set an object:token

Use 'get help help' or ‘set help help’ to get a list of objectsUse 'get <object> help' to get a list of tokens

To close a session type logout

If you are unable to access the power bay, you may have to run the/usr/local/copan/bin/setps script to assign the IP address. This scriptalso sets the login and password information.

Lab ProjectUsing applicable service documentation, you will be given 45 minutes to:

• Perform FRU replacement procedures• Observe LEDs under normal conditions• Access the Power Bay CLI and run various commands to determine state, status, temperature, voltages, etc….• Collect Power Bay information from the PSM GUI• View the setps script• Optionally, access the Valere web interface• Examine the PB portion of the PSM GUI to see what information is provided
