    DONT BE AN EGG ONLINE!

Sometimes its easy to forget that our online selves define who we are just as much as our real life interactions do. Dont let your social media persona get you into an unpleasant or embarrassing situation.

Here are 5 tips for a trouble-free social media existence: Dont say anything online

that you wouldnt say in a real life situation

Avoid posting online when you have been drinking alcohol

Dont react in anger - take a break for 15 minutes and consider your response

Avoid overly emotional or vulnerable posts - you may regret these later on

Remember that what you put on the internet stays there forever

DO YOU REMEMBER WHAT YOU DID LAST NIGHT?

A few drinks with friends can make for a memorable night especially if you cant recall what happened! Excessive drinking is a problem in New Zealand, and the habits you form now are likely to stay with you in the future The best way we can change this culture is to be mindful of our own behaviour and watch out for our friends

    YOU BELONG AT AUT.HARASSMENTAND BULLYINGDONT.

AUT is a great place to study and make friends, many of whom will be with you for life Were proud of our comfortable, social atmosphere its a big part of who we are

This is why at AUT any form of harassment by anybody, staff or student, is unacceptable and taken seriously by the University

The AUT Harassment Prevention Programme provides support and a range of options for effectively dealing with any issues

If youre concerned about a situation that you feel is harassment, dont hesitate
