We have a need for volunteers to be a part of a new Ministry, Seminarian Suppers.

This ministry resumes in August and involves preparing food for a Sunday that would be dropped off at the seminarians house by 4:00 PM. If you are interested in being a part of this ministry please contact Lynn Forrester at 714-757-2769 or [email protected], or contact Danny Pitocco’. [email protected].

This course is a spiritual formation experience for adults as well as instruction in this method of

catechesis for children. The pace of the course is retreat-like, allowing for its contemplative na-

ture to be a prayer experience for adults as well as model the atrium experience for children.

Presentations are given from scripture and liturgy in the same way they will be given to the chil-

dren. Adults will receive background information on selected themes, including a foundational

study into Maria Montessori’s work with children, and will be encouraged to read the core CGS

texts throughout the course. Time will be allocated for making materials used in the atrium and

discussing and writing album pages for presentations. Successful participation of this course

will result in a certificate from the National Association of Catechesis of the Good Shepherd.

The Marriage Reality Movement® is a network of people and coalition of organizations of all faiths and beliefs, concerned about the state of marriage in society, who wish to join a positive and practical effort to rebuild a marriage culture. It is movement of love and mer-cy seeking to reveal the truth of marriage in ways that all can understand and seek its good in their own lives. An important objective is to end the lies that the state and culture are feeding our children; lies that corrupt their understanding about the reality of marriage, family and sexuality. How young people understand the truth about sexual intimacy, marriage, and family influences the choices they make in their own lives. The culture is feeding them a steady diet of information that is designed to lead them away from the truth. The Marriage Reality Movement first and foremost seeks to “reintroduce” marriage at all levels of society, starting from the beginning.

Learn more about the The Marriage Reality Movement by watching our parishioner, Kari Curtain in her interview on EWTN. She will be the guest on At Home with Jim and Joy this Wednesday, July 29 and Friday, July 31 at 12:00 pm Central Time. The interview will be recast on Saturday, August 1 and Sunday, August 2 at 9:30 am CST. More information about The Marriage Reality Movement can be found on their

Website: www.takebackmarriage.org.

CCD Registration is Open for the 2020 - 2021 School Year

The CCD Sunday School program offers students an opportunity to gain a better understanding of their Cath-olic faith and traditions. The goal of each class is to go beyond mere content knowledge.
