the task of exploring free open source software • Software selected for testing: Moodle, Sakai,
Atutor and Edison (plone-based used by the School of Law)
• Moodle officially adopted as USP’s LMS at the end of 2007 version 1.5
• Moodle now in 2014 has version 2.6
