VPN setup for windows 71. Click START and select control panel.

2. In the Control Panel verify View By: is set to Category, Click on Network and Internet.

3. Click on the Network and Sharing Center.

4. Select Setup New Connection or Network.

5. Select Connect to a Work Place and press Next.

6. If you receive the following prompt “Do you want to use a connection that you already have?” select “No, create a new connection” and click Next. If you don’t get this prompt skip to the next step.

7. On “How do you want to connect?” Click on Use my Internet Connection.

8. In the Internet address: field type svpn.ttuhsc.edu and in the Destination name: type TTUHSC VPN . Checkmark the “Don’t connect now; just set it up so I can connect later” and Click on the Next button.

9. In the User Name: field input your Eraider, in the Password: field Type your Eraider password. Checkmark “Remember this password”, in the Domain: field write TTUHSC and Click on Create.

10. Do not connect to the work at the moment, click on Close.

11. In the notification area(Lower right area) Click on the Network Button.

12. Right Click on the TTUHSC VPN and select Properties.

13. Select Security tab, in the Type of VPN: drop menu select Layer 2 tunneling protocol with IPsec (L2TP/IPsec), Data encryption: should be set to Require encryption (disconnect if server declines), Select Allow these protocols, checkmark Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol (CHAP), Click in the Advance settings button.

14. Select Use preshared key for authentication, in the Key: field type ttuhsc, Click OK. Next the TTUHSC VPN Properties window will reappear , click OK to save the changes you made.

15. To connect to the TTUHSC network via VPN, click on the network button in the notification area( Lower right corner) to access the network side bar.

Or the network bar will appear click on TTUHSC VPN next click on the connect button.

16. Your login information should appear, Press Connect to authenticate to the VPN network.

17. After you are finish using the TTUHSC VPN, Make sure to disconnect from it. To disconnect, click on the network button in the notification area(Lower right corner) to access the network side bar.

Or Next the network side bar will appear click on TTUHSC VPN a Disconnect button will appear click on it.
