Settings for Elecraft K3, N1MM+ and ColibriDDC

Desired Result:

Elecraft K3 is used for TX, connected with ColibriDDC receiver over IP. Sub Receiver is turned ON in

EESDR, RX frequency (VFO B) is changed with front knob “B” of K3 or by mouse in EESDR. Both EESDR

and K3 connected to N1MM+ and frequency/mode is synchronized.

Install VSP Manager, create COM port pairs.

Ensure Physical COM PORTS not included in pairs! Run VSP Manager as Administrator and select

compatible to Windows XP SP3 in compatability options.

COM8 is physical COM Port. All others virtual pairs created with VSP Manager

Verify your PC does not have any hidden COM ports (Device Manager/Ports/Tab View/Show Hidden

Devices). Reallocate all hidden COM ports so no conflicts with VSP pairs ( COM9+COM10;

COM11+COM12, COM13+COM14).

N1MM+ and EESDR connection via CAT Interface Kenwood TS-480 and OmniRig

EESDR Software Settings. Turn on OmniRig checkmark in Protocol dropdown tab after selecting correct

settings for both radios (Kenwood and Elecraft)

SDC Settings.

Utility by Yuri, UT4LW for data exchange between ExpertSDR2 software via COM-port with Loggers, via telnet with

CW Skimmer, for profile adjustment etc. (User manual in Russian)

Instead of direct Ethernet cable ColibriDDC receiver can be connected with a Wi-Fi/4G or internet link. Software

required ExpertSDR2-RC (REMOTE CLIENT) at operating position and RPi3 or PC-based server with ExpertSDR-

RS (Remote Server) at receiving site.

Internet Connection

Close ColibriDDC software. Start ExpertSDR2-RC software

No changes made to K3/SDC settings. Enable CAT (same COM 5 Port), OmniRig and set remote server’s IP address

and port number.
