Project realization under 11 programs. Under implementation 1 333 projects. 162 projects are realized. Project activities are carried out in 1 650 buildings. 112 MLVL or 160 MEUR awarded from CCFI. Activities under program:

Project implementers: city or county municipalities of the Republic of Latvia, education establishments of the Republic of Latvia, micro, small or medium-sized enterprises registered in the Republic of Latvia, scientific institutions registered in the Register of Scientific Institutions.
Total CCFI financing granted: LVL 7 508 536 (EUR 10 683 684.21)
Max CCFI support: 55% - 75%, depending on project applicantAverage effic. indicator for reduction of CO2 emission: 2.1kgCO2/LVL per year

Activities to be Supported in the Framework of the Tender
Reconstruction or replacement of thermal energy or electrical energy production equipment resulting in replacement of the fossil energy sources with renewable energy sources;
Acquisition of new electrical energy production equipment for production of electrical energy from renewable energy sources, construction and installation thereof;
The following technological sectors shall be supported within the framework of the tender:
solar power plants (≥ 10kW);
solar collector systems (≥ 25kW);
wind power plants (≥ 50kW);
hydro power plants (≥ 50kW);
wood-chip, biomass pellet and straw boiler houses, with the total installed heat capacity not exceeding 3 MW (≥ 50kW);
energy sources with heat pumps (with transformation coefficient not less than 4) (≥ 50kW);
combined application of several technologies listed in this Paragraph.6

Technological Equipment to be Supported within the Framework of the Tender
woodchip or straw, biomass pellet, firewood boilers and biomass fire-places with total installed capacity ≤ 50 kW;
solar collector systems with total installed capacity ≤ 25kW;
energy sources with heat pumps with total installed capacity ≤ 50 kW (air-air type heat pumps may be installed if they are designed for operation at -20°C and will be operated in residential houses, where the heated area does not exceed 100 m2 );
wind generators with total installed capacity ≤ 10kW;
solar batteries with total installed capacity ≤ 10kW;
combined utilization of several different types of technological equipment mentioned above.

Eligibility of Buildings
Within the framework of the Tender project may be submitted for a residential house, which:
corresponds to any of the following classes of residential houses:garden house;single residential house or summer cottage;twin or row house;separate two-apartment house; house of three or more apartments.
has been put into operation and this fact is attested by an entry in the Land Book;is registered as a new construction or will be registered as a new construction until the day of receipt of the decision of the Ministry of Environment on approval of the project.

Areas and Technologies of Renewable Energy Resources Supported Within the Framework of the Tender
(DRAFT – NEWEST VERSION)Solar energy:
solar electric power plants (batteries) (total installed capacity ≥ 10 kW);
solar collector systems (total installed capacity ≥ 25 kW).
Wind energy – wind electric power plants (total installed capacity ≥ 50 kW);
Water energy – hydro electric power plants (total installed capacity ≥ 50 kW);
Biomass: woodchip, biomass pellet, straw and biogas technologies (total installed capacity ≤ 3MW);
woodchip, biomass pellet, straw and biogas cogeneration equipment of cogeneration electric power plant (total installed thermal capacity ≤ 3 MW or total installed electric capacity ≤ 1 MW);
renewable energy conversion technologies using which a primary renewable energy resource with higher GHG emission per circulation cycle may be processed into a renewable energy resource, which can be effectively utilized, with lower GHG emission per circulation cycle.
Geothermal energy – energy sources with heat pumps (total installed capacity ≥ 50 kW);
Combined utilization of several different types of technological equipment mentioned above. In case of combined utilization of technologies at least one of technologies planned in the project shall have the total installed capacity ≥ 50 kW. 14

Announcement of the Open Tender: 06.09.2011.Deadline for submission of project applications: 30.11.2011.Objective: reduction of CO2 emissions in the household sector by means of supporting purchase
and installation of micro generation technological equipment for production of thermal energy or generation of electricity in residential houses for the purpose of production of thermal energy or generation of electricity from renewable energy resources and providing heat or electricity supply exclusively for household needs.
