Turn Editing On

Locate the section where you want the quiz to appear.

Choose “Add an activity or resource”

Select Quiz

Click Add

Complete the name and quiz information

Click the check box if you want the test details in the description to appear on the home page.

Expand and change default quiz settings to match your needs. The scroll to the bottom of the screen.

Click save and display

You will see a summary page.

To add questions click Edit Quiz.

Select the category where you want to store questions.

Notice you can store questions specific to this quiz, the moodle course, the school or department, or everyone on Moodle.

Create your first question.

Choose a question type and click Next

Create the question.

1. Give the question a name that hints at the content -you will be glad you did later! 2. Add your question text 3. Optional:- Add general feedback that is provided whether the answer is right or wrong. 4. Choose if this will be a multiple choice with one correct answer, or a multiselect with several possible answers. 5. Shuffle the choices. Be sure no questions include an answer choice like a & b ; all of the above; none of the above. 6. Decide if the choices should have letters, numbers, or nothing.

Enter you answer choices

In the previous step we said that only one answer was allowed. In this step the correct answer is set to 100%. When you have added all answer choices scroll to the bottom of the page and save changes. Continue adding questions…

Once you have created all your questions, add them to the quiz.

1. You can add individual questions; click the checkbox next to the question, then click the add to quiz button. OR 2. You can add a number of random questions. Choose how many random questions to add, then click add to quiz button.

The quiz builds on the left with the questions you added.

Continue adding questions until done.

When finished preview your quiz.

Select Preview in the administration tab. Try your quiz, make sure there are no typos or other errors and that feedback appears correctly.
