Maternity sessions focus both on family moments and the glow of the mama-to-be, and offer a unique opportunity to be extra creative. Your home can provide the perfect setting, highlighting details of the nursery and capturing silhouettes in the window. Show off your bump in studio with dramatic lighting and flowing, curve hugging dresses. Or capture your care-free spirit in a beautiful outdoor setting. Maternity sessions last about 45 minutes.

*B*Book your newborn session at the same time and your maternity session fee is waived.

Newborn sessions capture all those precious details and sweet, sleepy expressions during your babies first two weeks. Newborn sessions last about 2-3 hours and take place in my studio or in the privacy and comfort of your home (no tidying necessary, I promise!). I will ever so carefully (and expertly) guide your baby into the most adorable and natural poses. Family portraits are also included. You do not need to provide any of the props, but if you have special items items you would like to include, such as hats, accessories or baby blankets, you are more than welcome to bring them.

Milestone Sessions are for babies and children under three. They are perfect for capturing your ever changing child at each important stage! These sessions can take place in your home, on location or in my studio. Forty minutes is just about as long as most little ones will last in front of the camera, but it is more than enough time to make many sweet memories.

Senior sessions not only create awesome artwork for parents, but are super fun for seniors as well. We’ll visit multiple locations over the course of two hours and you can bring all of your favorite clothes and accessories. I will direct you every step of the way so you will look and feel like a model in front of the camera. I recommend scheduling a professional makeup application (complimentary) so you can truly look and feel your absolute best: your confidence will shine ththrough and create an exceptional portrait you will be excited to share with your friends and family.

I can accommodate groups of up to 12 in my studio, and larger groups outdoors (weather permitting). This 2 hour session will focus on the group as a whole, individual families, couples, and kids.

This is my family! ;)

What to Wear...There are several key elements that effect the quality and mood of your photos. The photographer, lighting, setting... and wardrobe! While I can (for the most part) control all other aspects of the shoot, you have control over which clothes you choose for your session and it will have a big impact on your final images. One of the best things you can do to prepare for your session is to carefully plan your outfits. Here are a few suggestions and tips to get you started:

- For newborn sessions, wear darker neutrals so the focus is all on your new baby.

- For all other sessions, have fun playing with color, pattern, texture and layering.

- A- Aim to coordinate, not match, your family's outfits.

- Think of your family's clothing as one big outfit. It helps to start with one colorful, patterned outfit, and

then coordinate everyone else's clothing. If you have a patterned scarf or top that you really like, you can

even use that as your color palette for the rest of the group.

- Avoid overly bright colors such as neons, since these do not photograph well and tend to create

unflattering casts of color on the skin.

- Lay everyone's clothes out on a bed or sofa together, so you can see how they look side by side.

- Be su- Be sure to try everything on before the day of the session to ensure everything fits and is free of visible

wear and tear such as holes. (It happens!)

- Be sure to iron everything before the session so it's wrinkle free.

- If you have an infant or small children, bring a spare outfit in the event of an accident (spill, fall, spit up,

etc.) for your child and yourself. You may not have to use it, but if you do end up needing it, you won't

stress about it!

TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL FAMILY SESSIONLeave early to give yourself plenty of time to get to the session, and bring snacks/water and toys (if you have small children) to help create a fun and relaxed mood.

Kids pick up on pressure and stress, so try to stay calm and remember this is supposed to be a fun and laid back experience.

BrBring your child's favorite toy to help make them smile. One of my favorite things to do is have the toy "take the photo" - it gets a lot of laughs with the 3 and under set.

TTake a break from worrying about your kids’ behavior and enjoy yourself. Every parent worries that I will think their child is uncooperative or difficult, but I am used to photographing kids and have plenty of tricks for getting “the shot.” Smile and laugh, play with your kids, and I will take care of the rest. Kids are always the wild card, but I think you’ll be surprised with what I can catch in those fleeting moments. Of course, it’s always fun to save some of the silly shots, too.
