The Lord’s Prayer Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Prayer of Confession Rev. Walker

O holy and merciful God, we confess that we have not always taken upon ourselves the yoke of obedience, nor been willing to seek and to do your perfect will. We have not loved you with all our heart and mind and soul and strength, neither have we loved our neighbors as ourselves. You have called to us in the need of our sisters and brothers, and we have passed unheeding on our way.

In the pride of our hearts, and our unwillingness to repent, we have turned away from the cross of Christ, and have grieved your Holy Spirit.

All offer prayers of confession in silence.

Chapel Member Prayer List

Prayer for Dunamis- Lord, you came to set prisoners free, and we thank you for the freedom you provide to all of us, freedom from guilt and sin. But Lord, there are those around this world who seek to enslave and imprison in-nocent women and children. Lord we pray for freedom for these innocent ones, who are oppressed and abused. Lord we pray for the leaders at Duna-mis who are striving to set these women free, one woman, one child at a time. Give them strength, give them courage, and above all give them an abiding sense of your presence. May we join hands with them in this ministry, giving of our money, and our prayers, so that these women and children may know the freedom that is theirs in Christ. We pray in the name of our Savior and theirs, Jesus the Christ, Amen.

The Fellowship Sunday School class will begin a new study about Grace on Feb 11th. The class meets in McCormick Hall at 9AM each Sunday. Books are available for $5 each. Here is a recent review of Grace by Max Lucado: "Max Lucado has done it yet again with his most recent release, "Grace." I only began reading Lucado's books this year when I was given "A Love Worth Giving" in April and have since read three of his books. Grace is most likely my favorite because Lucado uses his personal and attention-grabbing style to discourse on perhaps the most important theme in the Bible. Many Christians have written well on grace; but Lucado does the perfect job of widening our eyes to God's glorious gift and encouraging us to pass it on to others. As Lucado shows readers, grace is the method by which God shields His holiness and wields His love in relation to humanity. Grace is truly greater than I imagine, and much much more than I deserve."

Please join us to learn more about His amazing grace. Everyone is wel-come. For questions, please call Jean James 706 268 1480.

Today we affirm the presence of God:

“But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you, but if I go, I will send Him to you,”

John 16:7
