The Ranchos De Placitas Sanitation District will conductan election for the purpose of selecting three new mem-bers for the Board of Directors of the District. TheBoard of Directors consists of three members. All posi-tions are voluntary. All three board member positionswill be elected; one position to serve a two year term,one position to serve a four year term, and one positionto serve a six year term. The election will be conductedby mail-in ballots.

Ballots will be mailed out to qualified tax-paying elec-tors of the Ranchos De Placitas Sanitation District onDecember 30, 2008. Qualified tax-paying electors of theDistrict, as defined in Section 73-21-4 (D) NMSA 1978,are eligible to vote in the election. Non-residents of theDistrict may be required to provide proof that they areNew Mexico registered voters and qualified tax-payingelectors of the District. Qualifying tax-paying electorswho do not receive a ballot by January 2, 2009 can re-ceive one by contacting the District at (505) 259-4049.Ballots will be due on or before 5:00 PM January 12,2009 at 20 Chaparral, Placitas, New Mexico 87043.
