THE BRIDGE - MAYFAIR PRETEEN MINISTRY• ALL BRIDGE MEMBERS!! Our First Bridge Connect is coming up on Sunday, October 18: CHOPPED!! This is one of my favorite events of the year…based off of the Food Network show, Chopped. The 5th and 6th Graders will do the “cooking” (no actual cooking involved…I’m not that crazy!!).  It’s a blast! This will take place from 4:30 pm until approximately 6 pm in the Gym.• The Bridge Calendars are now available in the 5th and 6th Grade Classrooms and at the Downstairs Information Desk.  Pick one up today!• Today, 5th and 6th Graders will be meeting in their regular classrooms. 5th Graders will be studying the story of Joseph, and 6th Graders will continue their study on the Gospel of Luke by taking a look at the Pharisees and the Samaritans.

CALLING ALL ADULT BIBLE CLASSESThere are two big ways you can support our upcoming October 25 Family Funfest from 3:00 - 5:00 PM:

• Participate In Trunk Or Treat! We would like to encourage everyone in our adult Bible classes to participate in “Trunk Or Treat”. All you need to join in is a bag of candy (minimum of 600 pieces) and you are welcome to decorate your vehicle. Park in the front parking lot on church office side no later than 2:45 pm on October 25. We will have “judges” and present prizes to those who do the best job decorating.  For more information contact the MCM offices at 256-881-4651.

• Bring Bags of Candy Today! In preparation for Funfest we need lots of individually wrapped pieces of candy for prizes. There are orange drop boxes in adult Bible classrooms and around the building for anyone to bring large bags of individually wrapped pieces of candy. If you can help with this need it would be greatly appreciated.  The final Sunday to bring candy is Sunday, October 18.
