They can help each other in everything they do.” Ecclesiastes 4:9 NlrV Bible Story: David Review. !K-5th: There will be no K-5th classes on May 29~Memorial Day Weekend (children’s bulletins coinciding with the message are available). Classes will resume on Sunday, June 5 at both services. One service with Preschool and K-5th available each week begins June 12! !!

High School and Student Ministry has concluded for the summer and will resume in the fall. !Young Adult Ministry: Mondays from 6:30 - 8:30 pm. !!

Student Ministry Mission Trips: Thank you to everyone who helped make the Gigantic Garage Sale possible. So far we have raised almost $1,800 from the items that you all donated!! !Small Groups: If you are interested in joining a small group, please stop by the Info Table to sign up so that Amy Anderson can get you connected. Our small groups this year are based on a sermon series in the Book of Luke. We are using a study guide from New Testament scholar N.T. Wright. !

Summer Volunteer Recruitment: Summer is coming! River Rock is looking to fill volunteer roles over the summer months in areas such as Kids on the Rock, Hospitality and Care & Support. Could you serve one or two times during the summer months? Grab a volunteer recruitment card today (on a seat near you) or from the Info Table. Facility Task Force Update: Thank-you to everyone that attended our Town Hall meetings on May 22! As was reported, the team continues to work on the recommendations from our Feasibility Study which was conducted last fall. Questions that have been asked are being compiled and the team is working on an updated Q and A Document for distribution soon. Please lift up in prayer the facilities future for River Rock Church, that God would provide a facility on which a healthy, missional ministry can continue to expand. Pray for wisdom and discernment and for healthy dialogue along the way. Also give thanks to God for His leading so far! The Task Force welcomes your questions and comments. They are: Mark Christensen, Jon DenOuden, Jon Huizenga, Jeanne Maher, Don Porritt, Richard Spengler, Kelly Tuit, and Jeff Yonker. !Meijer Community Rewards Program (MCR): We were notified by Meijer that due to declining participation in the MCR in recent years they are discontinuing it. June 2016 will be the last month organizations will be able to earn rewards in the MCR program.

Team World Vision: River Rock is partnering with Team World Vision to support clean water projects in Africa and YOU can help by running, walking or crawling the Grand Rapids Half or Full Marathon (Oct. 23rd)! River Rock's Team will train and equip each other to reach our running and fundraising goals. Team Members, save the date for our Kick Off Party on June 16 at 6:30PM! Each person will be able to put together 10 delicious meals, with the goal of donating one meal back to River Rock's Meal Ministry for those in need and the other nine you can bring home to enjoy! Outdoor Movies at River Rock: Save the dates of Friday, June 17, Friday, July 22 and Friday, August 12th for outdoor movie nights at River Rock! All three family-friendly movies will play at dusk and are free to attend (any donations will help cover Festival expenses). Watch for more info, including movie titles soon! !River Rock Festival: Save the date for Sunday, August 21 for River Rock's Summer Festival 2016! The Festival Committee is working on collecting items (gift cards, new items, etc.) that could be used as giveaways at the event (Children - Adults). Community and Family Matters !Please lift up Jim and Kathy Izenbaard and their family in prayer. Jim’s son Eric passed away Saturday, May 14, after battling lymphoma. Pray for peace and comfort after an extremely difficult time of loss. !Continue to pray for God's comfort, energy, and healing for Lisa Bade as she continues fighting breast cancer. Pray for her husband Kyle, children Callum and Stella, and other family members as they support her. You can keep up with her story by going to CaringBridge.org. !Please continue to pray for Rick Brill, who has kidney failure. He’s been cleared for a transplant and started dialysis this past week. Please pray continued health during the transition.
