GENERAL INFORMATION
RPSM offers comprehensive music lessons that allow students to develop their musical skills through participation in private, group and ensemble lessons, as well as theory. Students are loaned instruments, books and study resources, and are given the opportunity to participate in Royal Conservatory exams, free of charge (costs covered by RPSM).
We believe in student-led musical exploration to engage and inspire our students, which is why we offer such a diverse range of classes.
LESSONS
RPSM offers group, ensemble and private lessons in a variety of instruments. Our programs vary by location.
Students begin their musical journey in group lessons and may be considered for private lessons after a minimum of 2 years. Movement from group lessons into private happens at the discretion of the school and the teacher, in consultation with the student.
RPSM has three school terms:
Fall–September to January Winter–February to June Summer–July to August (Regent Park location only)
Registration periods occur prior to the start of these terms in each program, where space allows. We take attendance seriously and require that students commit to their weekly lesson.
RPSM’s programs are subsidized and geared to family income. Fee information can be found on the last page of this book.
