    Remember the Series 637 LeverHoist was designed to ease ourburden and carelessness not onlyendangers the operator, but in manycases, a valuable load.

    The application, the size and type ofload, the attachments to be usedand the period of use must also betaken into consideration in selectingthe right hoist for the job.

    5 OPERATORSERVICEBe sure the hoist issolidly held in theuppermost part of thesupport hook arc.

    Be sure hoist and load arein a straight line. Do notuse unless frame andchain form a straight linebetween hooks.

    Be sure load is hooked securely.Do not tip load the hook. Do notload hook latch. Hook latch is toprevent detachment of loadunder slack chain conditionsonly.

    Do not operate with frameresting against any object.Apply the load gently. Do notjerk it.

    Never use an extension on thelever! You’re dangerouslyoverloading the hoist if you exceedthe rated lever pull or if you have touse a lever extension to lift or pull aload.

    Do not lift co-workers witha hoist.

    Make sure everyone isclear of the load when youapply tension.

    Do not remove or obscureoperational warningnotices.

    CLEANINGSeries 637 Lever Hoists should bekept clean and free of dust, dirt,moisture, etc., which will in anyway affect the operation or safetyof the equipment.

    LUBRICATIONChain should be properlylubricated.

    AFTER REPAIRSCarefully operate the hoist beforereturning it to full service.

    WARNING - DO NOT LIFT PEOPLE OR LOADS OVER PEOPLE.
