Brethren, Greetings from the East.
It is hard to believe spring is almost here and I have presided over 3 stated meetings at this writing. The one thing I have said from the beginning of my term as master is that this
is not going to be my year, but our year, we are all part of the team. A while back I read an article in the Scottish Rite Journal about Free-masonry and what you are doing wrong. One
of the items was asking for, and volunteering to help. We all need to do whatever we can, if within the length of our cable tow, to help with
the workings of the lodge. The one thing I am referring to is to volunteer to help our Junior Warden and kitchen staff, to lighten their workload
and to keep them from getting burnt out and disappointed from the lack of brothers wanting to pitch in and keep our wonderful meals and fel-lowship continuing. I will do whatever I can do if within my cable tow. I hope everyone else can do the same to keep our lodge the best in the Ju-risdiction.
Fraternally, WM Jim Bekkevar.

February 22, 2020
Greetings from the south & our Kitchen! We thank all that attended our February stated din-ner. We had a large turnout of about 40 plus dinners served. Keep coming: more tasty meals coming. We are asking for volunteers to help serve the meals, this is a lot work for the few that bring you all the great meals. The help needed is set-ting up tables, sanitizing (wiping) tables and counters before dinner place mats are placed, wiping the same during clean up afterwards.
Also help serving food, washing dishes, putting the same away. Bringing back by very popular demand will be: Tom’s Smoke House Pork Loin Dinner for March’s Stated Meeting. Menu will be hardwood smoked Pork Loin and chicken, side dishes will be BBQ Baked beans, green vegetable, Caesar Salad, house baked din-ner biscuits and baked potato or steak fries (have not decided which one yet) all accompanied with olives, pickles, BBQ sauce, etc. Drinks will be Lemonade, Soda, coffee, tea and water or BYO Drink. Desert is undecided. A big thanks goes out to all our volunteers for the most excel-lent help that worked very hard setting up, cooking and cleaning. They are WB George Lewellyn, WB Jim Bekkevar, WB John Majors and SS Craig Barron. Fraternally, Bro. Tom Brandt JW

FREEMASONARY QUOTES: “I violate no secret when I say that one of
the greatest values in Masonry is that it affords an opportunity for men of all
walks of life to meet on common ground where all men are equal and have one
common interest.” -Theodore Roosevelt
March is already here the year is going by so fast. We are updating our records and would ask eve-ryone to send current addresses, phone numbers (home or cell phone or both if you prefer) and email address-es and if you expect texts on grandview we can add pictures of you also. This is a great thing to do - by having a photo there is a way of identifying some-one. On grandview it has options for Notifications. It also lists history, our spouses, and general infor-mation, so it is a wonderful way for us to assist our members. The grand lodge website is open to all brothers. We are hoping more brothers will start using this pro-gram to keep themselves updated.
At this time our member contact information is: emails present at 46%, mo-bile phones are present at 25%, home phones are present at 34%, and verified a dresses are now at 84%. We would love to see this at a 100%! This is the only way we can stay in communication with our members. At this particular time 7 Brothers have listed their preferences of text, voice, email, letter or mail. These updates will help us in keeping in touch with the members at all times. Please remember that these records do need to be updated and we need all brothers to participate in helping with this endeav-or. There are many different reports that we can actually get and have at our fingertips. There are many great things that are happening at the lodge, We’re al-ways trying to improve the building! Any brothers looking to help? The lodge has many committees with available openings. We as masons have a wonderful opportunity in our community! Just a point: we lay cornerstones in our communities (as the corner stone was laid at the Museum); we have the scholarship program, we have the bikes for books program, and we have the Child Identity program. These are just a few of the things that Mason do! I'm looking forward to our lodge’s next great accomplishments. Let’s keep up the great work and show what we can accom-plish. Peace and Harmony Prevailing. SECRETARY WB DAVID A HANSEN

Sequim Pilgrim Chapter OES By Worthy Matron Laurie Brilhante

Happy March from Pilgrim Chapter, This is the last Trestleboard article that I will be writing as Worthy Matron this year. On March 5, at our Chapter Meeting, we will have our closed Installation of Officers for 2020-2021. Leticia Allen will be installed as Worthy Matron. I am very ex-cited for her and all of her Officers! I have thoroughly enjoyed being Worthy Matron for our Chapter. We had a busy year! We had fun learning about sheep; making and sell-ing sheep related items; having a booth at the Shepard's Festival in May; celebrating Rhonda Cays becoming
Deputy Instructor from our Chapter in June, going to my first Grand Chapter in June; having our summer picnic at the Clark Farm in July; working the Corn Booth at the Clallam County Fair with the Sequim Masonic Lodge in August, Initiation of our first new member during my year in September; High Tea in October, along with our Official Visit with Esther Chapter; our Friends Night in November and all the favor-ite farm animals that attended, and finally, our second Initiation in December. We initiated 3 new members, during my year, and voted in two new affiliated members as well. I could not have done any of this without the help of all the members! I want to thank each and every one, for helping to make my year as Worthy Matron of Pil-grim Chapter a very successful and fun year! Best of Luck to Leticia Allen and all of her Officers!
And remember.... Love is a gift you needn't wrap;
it's perfect from the start; From big to small, one size fits all,
it comes straight from the heart! Star Love, Laurie Brilhante, Worthy Matron
