Whether or not you have had your first meeting yet, get excited! September is the month to energize members and spark interest in those who have not discovered Key Club yet! Have members bring a friend that is not in Key Club to the next meeting, and invite the prospective members to a service project. Since September kicks off football season, I encourage you to gather your members and have an Eliminate fundraiser at a game. With your principal’s approval, you can raise awareness for the project and collect donations or sell candy or Eliminate wristbands. We only have one year left to eradicate maternal and neonatal tetanus, and every donation counts! The District Board will be meeting this month to plan upcoming events and film an Eliminate video and New Officers’ Training video to be released during Key Club Week. Please let your Lieutenant Governor or me know how we can serve you better during the year. Presidential

Essentials

Greetings LaMissTenn District Key Club Presidents,

I hope all of you have had a wonderful start to a new school year!

Whether or not you have had your first meeting yet, get excited! September is the

month to energize members and spark interest in those who have not discovered

Key Club yet! Have members bring a friend that is not in Key Club to the next

meeting, and invite the prospective members to a service project.

Since September kicks off football season, I encourage you to gather your members and

have an Eliminate fundraiser at a game. With your principal’s approval, you can raise awareness

for the project and collect donations or sell candy or Eliminate wristbands. We only have one year

left to eradicate maternal and neonatal tetanus, and every donation counts!

The District Board will be meeting this month to plan upcoming events and film an Eliminate

video and New Officers’ Training video to be released during Key Club Week. Please let your

Lieutenant Governor or me know how we can serve you better during the year.

Yours in Service,

Tabitha Kearns

Dues

The Membership Update Center’s scheduled opening was September 3, 2014, but the opening has been delayed. Advisors who already have an

account will receive an email when the center opens. LTGs will notify clubs as well. District

dues are $6.50 and International dues are $7.00. Clubs that submit dues and membership roster forms prior to or on November 1, 2014, will

receive an Early Bird patch for their club banner.

Click here to access the Membership Update Center tutorial.

LaMissTenn District Lieutenant Governors will be

receiving education about the dues payment

process at the September Board Meeting to be

able to help clubs and advisors. Contact your

Lieutenant Governor if you need any help.

Online Submission for Monthly Reports

One feature of our new website is online submission for monthly reports. Club secretaries can now submit monthly reports

online. This will make submission easier and more efficient. Below is the link that

directs one to the page where the report can be accessed. It is important that secretaries select the correct division before completing

the report because this determines which Lieutenant Governor receives the report.

Once the report is submitted, it will be sent to your Lieutenant Governor and Hunter Burkhardt, the Secretary-Treasurer. The

club secretary will also receive a copy. Club Monthly Reports are due on September

5, 2014.

Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF boxes will be automatically shipped to schools that have participated in the

program. Click here to see if your school will automatically be receiving boxes. If your club is not on the list, you can begin ordering boxes on

September 10, 2014. More information about Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF can be found here. All proceeds

go to The Eliminate Project.
