Katy EDC MeetingSeptember 15, 2015

CenterPoint Energy has designed energy efficiency programs to comply with state legislation that requires each investor-owned utility to reduce demand and energy savings.

Our programs help offset the need for additional generating capacity through cost effective energy efficiency programs.

We offer both residential and commercial programs for participants in our electric service territory.

SCORE/CitySmart ProgramPromotes energy efficiency upgrades at public and private schools, colleges, non-profit organizations, places of worship and cities through incentives and services. Services include benchmarking, energy master planning, and technical support.

The City of Katy will receive $2,293.77 in incentives for 7 lighting projects they completed for the CitySmart program in 2015.

Katy ISD- completed 54 projects in the SCORE program since 2007 totaling $441,518 in incentives.

Commercial & Industrial Standard Offer ProgramOffers incentives to energy efficiency service providers who install qualified energy efficiency projects in new or existing commercial and industrial facilities.

Retro-Commissioning ProgramPromotes the tune-up of existing commercial and industrial buildings by evaluating facility systems and implementing low-cost/no-cost measures.

Load Management ProgramOffers incentives to commercial and industrial customers for curtailing or shifting a load when notified. Curtailments can be called between June 1 and September 30.

Healthcare Energy Efficiency ProgramSpecially designed for small to medium-sized healthcare facilities such as clinics, hospitals, assisted living/nursing care and medical offices. Customized solutions, technical support and cash incentives are offered for efficiency upgrades.
