As a reminder to all - we use a phone calling system that will alert you if there is a need to issue a boil water notice. This system is only used if the water notice is a Bay Lake water issue. If you are not sure that we have the correct phone number on file, please stop by or give the office a call. It is very important that we have your correct phone number as this system can also be used during emergency situations. This is the only way that you will receive word as we no longer post door notices. On that same note – you can also sign up for phone notices from Sarasota County. The system that the county uses is called CodeRED. These messages would be sent if there is a water issue in our surrounding area that would affect our drinking water or other emergency information. Submit your information to the county at www.scgov.net or call 941-861-5000.
There have been complaints regarding garbage cans that are being stored on carports. Please remember that garbage cans and recycle bins should be stored in the garbage hide at the rear of your home or in your shed.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank David Doolittle who was our “lock and unlock” man for the last 7 years (that’s 5,110 locks and unlocks!). Dave was always willing to pitch in if Mark or myself needed extra help and rarely had a day off. I have worked with Dave for over 25 years and he is one of the finest people that I know. We hope he will enjoy his retirement and sleep in. All of us at Bay Lake, including the ducks, will miss you Dave!
