Harvest Festival BVSD’s School Food Project presents the 2015 September 20, 2015 Noon-4 p.m. at Casey Middle School, 1301 High St., Boulder AT THE FESTIVAL • Iron Chef compeon – Best aſter-school snack • Kids’ acvies • Live music by Leſt Hand Market Boys • Local farmers and vendors • Raffle with fabulous local food prizes • Local food - demonstraons and tasngs from local chefs and vendors HARVEST OF THE MONTH Taste the harvest of the month, then get the new harvest trading cards and have them signed by BVSD’s partner farmers. GARDEN DEMOS There will be 送ခ威紁紁漀 倩㈰⸶arden demonstraons and a ခ鼁쀁崁鼁ḁ退 嵔䨊 with Growe, Growing Gardens, The Kitchen Commun 崁騁윀 嵔䨊 and BVSD. FARM-TO-SCHOOL The School Food Project sources local foods when possible a 瘁ᨀ 褁谩㈲⸸ovides hand 逃爁紁瘀 ⠩㈷⸳ood and farm-to- school educaon programs that encourage students to try new foods, eat more fruits and vegetables, learn about where the food comes from and develop lifelong healthy eang habits. MUNCHIE MACHINE Enjoy fresh local entrees from BVSD’s food truck, “Munchie Ma ခ威崁瘁ḃ堩㜶⸳” SEED SWAP Do you have seeds you saved from your garden? Or maybe organic seeds leſt over from planng this year? Bring them to the Harvest Fesval Seed Swap! Learn to grow, harvest, clean, dry, and store seeds from your own garden. No need to bring seeds to parcipate. Label seeds with variety, year and what you love about them.
