Yogyakarta (or Jogjakarta) has been known as The Never Ending Asia. Many say that a single visit to Jogja is
never enough. The list of things you can experience in Jogja may seem overwhelming, ranging from natural
splendors, art, tradition and heritages to culinary adventure. This is why Jogja is the second most visited
destination in Indonesia, after Bali.
Prambanan: The largest Hindu temple in Southeast Asia Borobudur: The largest Buddhist temple in the world Shop Till You Drop in Malioboro

Yogyakarta's Adisucipto International Airport (IATA: JOG), 8 km
east of town, is very close to Royal Ambarrukmo Hotel.
There are frequent (every two hour) connections on Garuda, the
national airline, to Jakarta (50 minutes) and 2-3 times a day (60
mins) to Denpasar, while other domestic airlines service both
Jakarta and Denpasar, as well as major cities in Java, Sumatra,
Kalimantan and Sulawesi. For international services, AirAsia
connects Yogyakarta to both Kuala Lumpur and Singapore while
Malaysia Airlines flies between Yogyakarta and Kuala Lumpur.
Silkair and Tigerair also flies from Singapore.
To take taxi is recommended from Yogyakarta Airport to Royal
Ambarrukmo Hotel and its satellites hotel. Pay at the taxi desk in
arrival terminal and then head for the official taxi rank. Give the
receipt to your driver, there is no need for any additional payment.

Royal Ambarrukmo Yogyakarta
Royal Ambarrukmo Yogyakarta, once Yogyakarta’s grandest hotel,
has been undergoing a great transformation to enthrall guests with
outstanding service and an exceptional experience.
The hotel is centrally located, within walking distance of the historic
and cultural districts with the city’s largest shopping mall right on
the doorstep, and is less than 10 minutes from Adisucipto
International Airport. Most of Yogyakarta’s must-see sites (the
Prambanan Temple, Sultan Palace, Kotagede and Malioboro) are
a short drive away. Today the legendary Ambarrukmo Hotel has
been reborn, and embraces both its historic heritage and the
modern comforts sought by today’s guests. The renovations to
both hotel and palace were made in keeping with the royal
palace’s true character and to bring back the glamour of the past
merged with 21th century technology.
