priests will be eligible to retire before all of them could be ordained, if they all stick with it. As Christ said, "The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest." This is our opportunity to pray for vocations and also greet Fr. Ben.

They are no longer accepting books at their libraries. They also don't want copies of the Magnifi-cat, etc., as the West side Catholic Churches who do the Masses and Bible studies, keep them well supplied. So thank you for all your donations in the past and hope you find another need for your gen-erosity.

However, I will gladly accept your donations for their Christmas bags. Shampoo, conditioner, lotion, body wash or bars of soap, deodorant, MAKE-UP, spices, food items that can be microwaved, etc. are most welcome. However, NOTHING CAN BE OPENED! If you have questions, call me at 881-7464. Thank you and may God bless you and yours. Ceil Woodard

HOOP NEWS

It was another hot and wet Sunday evening outing serving the

homeless. Our gratitude goes to Vivian Bailey and her angels from the Denver Bible Study group and the Adult Choir who came to our aid at the last moment to prepare

food for us. Our homeless friends seemed espe-cially hungry and thirsty this evening. It was nice to be able to serve them a hearty meal and have enough to offer seconds. Thanks also to those who dropped off t-shirts and other clothing items for our friends. Be-

tween the hot weather and the rain, they were grateful for clean, dry

clothes. We are currently out of medium size men's

undershorts. Also we need individually wrapped salty snacks. (peanut butter

crackers, chips etc.) We are always in need of groups to

prepare food for our outings.

Question for Children: The father in this story welcomed his son home, even after he ran away and did bad things. How do you know God welcomes you after you do that? Question for Youth: How hard is it for you to ask for forgiveness? Is it hard for you to believe that you are still loved even when you have sinned? Question for Adults: When you wander away from being true to your faith, how do you know God will take you back? What signs do you see?

HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT OF LOOKING DEEP INTO THE HISTORY OF THE CHURCH? OR PERHAPS YOU FEEL A CALL TO SOMETHING MORE, BUT YOU AREN’T SURE WHAT THAT “SOMETHING MORE” IS. Saint Mein-rad Seminary and School of Theology offers a theological degree program tailored to fit the busy schedules of work-ing parents, college graduates, as well as retirees. Many students attend Saint Meinrad simply to grow in faith, in knowledge, in Christian maturity, and in their capacity to serve and minister. Founded and administered by the monks of Saint Meinrad Archabbey, our school focuses on the Benedictine value of combining holiness and learning. If you would like more information about our programs, please accept our invitation to a complimentary weekend at the Hill October 15-16. Prospective students will enjoy a tour of Saint Meinrad Archabbey Church and School, a pre-view of the classes offered, and informational presentations on what you can expect while attending Saint Mein-rad.
