We are caught up on our Mass intentions so if you have been meaning to request a Mass be said for someone, now would be a good time to pick up an envelope from the back of the church for your request.

As you enter into the remodeled convent area, be sure to take a look to the far wall and notice the Good Shepherd paint-ing. Good Samar-itan Ministries in Helena had this painting turned in

at their donation dock. It didn’t look this good though until after they had it restored and put in a new frame. Many of the other pictures in the new chapel were also given to us by Good Sa-maritan Ministries. Be sure to keep them and their ministry to the poor in your prayers. Also, drop in an check them out if you have never been in their store.

With all the recent rains the grass is much greener and lusher. The new mulching blades on the mower, now that they have been sharpened, are doing a much better job of cutting the grass evenly and not leaving piles. The new blades cut the grass into much smaller pieces so they settle in between the live blades of grass and close to the soil. This allows the nutrients the grass used in growing to be returned to the soil. A thick grass is also more resistant to letting the weeds find a place to grow. In a couple of weeks though, we will be blowing out the sprinklers and getting out the snow shovels.

Interested in saving a little (or a lot) on your 2019 taxes? We’re happy to share that the 2019 Montana Legislature renewed the valuable Montana Endow-ment Tax Credit for another sev-en years, through 2025. Even more good news – your parish has an endowment fund so you

can support the future of your parish and save on your Montana taxes at the same time. An endowment is per-manent which means donations are invested to generate earnings for your parish…forever. That’s a lasting im-pact! To learn more, contact Jeanne Saarinen at The Foundation for the Diocese of Helena, Inc., (406) 389-7051 or [email protected]. Your Catholic Foundation’s mission is to serve and strengthen the peo-ple, parishes, ministries, and apostolic mission of the Di-ocese of Helena. Learn more at www.fdoh.org.

Religious Education will begin this Sunday after the 9:00 am Mass. We will only have three active classrooms this year since the overall number of students is down. The group that was meeting in the basement of the Saint Mary’s Center will be moving up to a much warm-er environment that is undergoing some remodeling. The old chalkboards have been removed and the walls will eventually be given a new coat of paint. Plans are also being made to possibly get some new carpet for the room. One of the newly remodeled rooms in the old

convent has also been set up for one of the classes. It will probably take a few more weeks for it to be fully out-fitted as a classroom, but hopefully it will prove to be a good space for learning. Please pray for our RE teach-ers as they embark on this years adventure.
