Rehearsal is mandatory for seniors; roll will be taken. Graduation Tickets: Each senior will receive 5 graduation ceremony tickets for guests. Graduates do not need a ticket to attend graduation. Ticket Distribution: Tickets will be distributed to seniors Thursday, May 21st at 9:00 A.M. in the Paxon Auditorium during cap and gown distribution. Additional Tickets: Students can make arrangements with other seniors for additional tickets. We anticipate opportunities throughout the year to acquire additional tickets. No one, including babies in arms, toddlers, etc., will be allowed into the venue without a ticket. If a Sign Language Interpreter is needed, please contact Mr. Smith before May 1, 2020. Handicapped/Accessible seating is available. Dress Code: Please be sure that your gown is pressed before wearing it. Ladies: Flesh colored pantyhose; black or dark blue dress shoes, open toe shoes are acceptable (very high heels should be avoided; no buckles, rhinestones, glitter or embellishments of any kind, or sneakers); a black or dark blue dress that is close to knee length. Please try your dress on with your gown to see how it looks. It should neither hang below your gown (tape it up) nor be so short that you look bareunder your gown. Dressy slacks (black or dark blue) with a pale colored blouse is also acceptable. Grad Bash Universal Islands of Adventure - April 17, 2020 Chartered buses are provided and will leave Paxon SAS on Friday, April 17th at 2:00 P.M. and will return on Saturday, April 18th at 5:00 A.M. It is a school day and students MUST attend 1st, 2nd, and 3rd periods. Students will report to the auditorium immediately after 3rd period, 1:20 P.M., for bus loading. Parents picking up students on Saturday morning should arrive by 4:30 A.M. Cost: TBD - only Paxon SAS students may attend. Special Notes: Students may not bring food, coolers, back packs, drinks, water bottles, etc. Security: Police will be hired to protect parked cars until buses return from Grad Bash However, we strongly recommend that students be dropped off and picked up for this event. Students may not be dropped off or picked up at an alternative location. Please do not ask for special considerations. DCPS liability does not provide coverage for this option. Bags taken into the park must be only half the size of a sheet of notebook paper, including purses and backpacks. Dress Code: Students must arrive at school appropriately dressed. They may not change upon arrival at Universal Orlando. Casual attire. Avoid tube tops, strapless, backless, spaghetti strap dresses/tops. Nothing too short or too revealing, no see-through clothing. Students should wear comfortable shoes; flip-flips are not recommended. No hats or bandanas. No clothing affiliated with a school, religion, gang, or team. Dear Parents and Seniors, This brochure, created for seniors and their parents, is a synopsis of all pertinent senior activities and the policies and procedures that govern them. It is an effort to make information about senior activities easily accessible for both parents and students. It is our sincere hope that you will find the contents of this brochure useful to you. The information provided pertains to Grad Bash, Senior Activities, Baccalaureate, Senior Awards Ceremony, and Graduation.
