Spring

The evenings are getting longer

and a welcome sign that is

The birds ad the bees will be buzzing

just to see what it is

I don’t hear the birds singing yet, or bees buzzing

It’s a strange empty sound

The trees are in full bloom

So the birds and bees should be singing soon

Ilove the activity Spring brings

The sleeping tulips and daffodils encourage

the crocus to Spring

How wonderful its all new again

Clean and Fun Jokes for Senior Citizens

"Three Senior Pals"

Three seniors are out for a stroll. One of them remarks, “It’s windy.” Another replies, “No way. It’s Thursday.” The last one says, “Me too. Let’s have a soda.” ____________________________________________________________________

"The Old Days"

A grandpa was telling his young grandson what life was like when he

was a boy. "In the winter we’d ice skate on our pond. In the summer

we could swim in the pond, and pick berries in the woods. We’d swing

on an old tire my dad hung from a tree on a rope. And we had a pony

we rode all over the farm."

The little boy was amazed, and sat silently for a minute. Finally he

said, "Granddad, I wish I'd gotten to know you a lot sooner!"

____________________________________________________________________

“Boys and Grandpas"

A young grandson asked his grandfather how old he was, and the grandpa teasingly replied, "Well, I'm not exactly sure how old I am." The little boy advised, "You have to look in your underwear, Grandpa. Mine says I'm 4 to 6."

Since it is Mothers Day in May I thought of sharing a quote about what a mother is. As we get older it is easy to fall into the trap of thinking that we are limited in what we can do and that our children no longer need us; however, that is

not the case and we need to keep ourselves happy, healthy, and strong for as long as we can. So Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there!!

What is a Mother

Mother is the personification of love and is the angel sent by god to look after her

children. “God could not be everywhere, so he created mothers”. A mother

showers love on her children forgives their mistakes and stands a pillar of

strength, courage, inspiration and solace for them. She is the bank where all the

emotions, sorrows and expectations of the children are deposited. Mother has a

secret code of language with her child and can understand what the child is trying

to say, which no one else can. The word mother can work magic on the ears of

the child. She is not only a friend, philosopher and guide but a god living right in

front of the eyes of children and can be reached out easily. Even those who have

escalated to high positions in the society are just a child in front of their mother,

irrespective of their age. The love of mother knows no bounds and hence there is

no limit to the number of times a mother forgives her child. Hundreds of sayings

and quotes have been said on mother yet they are not boring. Read them and

value the mother.
