Looking for ways to help? Our Mission Committee is looking for donations to give to people in need, read their heartfelt letter below: Dear Friends and Parishioners of the United Parish Church of Winchendon,

During these stressful but blessed times, many folks have committed to helping out in many different ways and here at The United Parish, the Missions Committee will be helping out with a donation to the Samaritan’s Purse, a Billy Graham ministry. Many of you know of this outreach through the Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan's Purse. This is where shoe boxes are filled with small Christmas gifts and then delivered all over the world along with the message of Jesus Christ. Last year more than 8.9 million shoe box gifts were delivered to more than 100 countries. To help during the Corona Virus, the Samaritan’s Purse has built a 68-bed field hospital, in the middle of Central Park, New York City and is run by the evangelical relief group of Samaritan’s Purse. They are treating Covid-19 patients from the Mount Sinai hospital system.

Also, hundreds of Samaritan’s Purse volunteers are helping the hurting homeowners after the severe storms and deadly tornadoes in Louisiana, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Mississippi.

And now the Samaritan’s Purse needs your help and prayers as well as ours to support this incredible mission. If you would like to join us in donating, you can mail your check to: United Parish Church 39 Front Street Winchendon, MA 01475 attn: Missions Checks should be made out to the “United Parish” with (Samaritans Purse) in the subject line. We will send you a receipt of your generous donation.

Thank you and God Bless, United Parish Missions Committee

2. Do you need assistance accessing essential groceries or

pharmaceutical items? We’re here to help. Listed below are the options available in our area: • Some of the older United Parish youth are available to pick

up groceries or pharmaceutical items at local grocery stories for you. Please call Cheri at the United Parish office (297-0616) and let her know what you need.
