Where did this tribe live?

The Seminoles lived in the southeast region but where, where tell me where. The Seminoles lived in warm central Florida. When the Seminoles just came their first settlement was alongside the rivers of Florida. One of the best villages they found in their time was a village called Cuscowilla. Cuscowilla had 30 family villages! I feel that they were living a good life with rivers, a village, and very warm climate.

What kind of food did they eat?The men of the Seminoles

were always out and about hunting for food. Here's what they’ve found an love. The Seminoles love to eat. They eat fruits, rabbits, turkeys, bears you name it. The Seminoles had a planting area 2 miles from town. They brought all of the food they hunted or planted to storehouses. That is where they stored food for the winter. I think they were never starved with that much food to eat.

What type of clothing did they wear?

The Seminoles had a fashion statement to make. Here’s what they’ve came up with. The Seminoles wear a lot of fur. Rabbit fur, squirrel fur, deer skin (basically like fur) When it is warm they wear light clothing like deer skin. When it is rainy or cold they wear heavy clothing like poncho’s. I think that they were a little bit annoyed having to wear fur, skin, and poncho’s all of the time.

What kind of games did they play? The Seminoles didn’t work all of the time, they also had some fun. Here are some games they have played. The Seminoles like running, wrestling, archery, and diee. But their favorite game was lacrosse. In lacrosse people run around with sticks to throw stuffed deer skin from their sticks into the other team’s goal. The field has 100 players and could be played for several days. I think that they had a lot of fun playing games like lacrosse because they got a break for once.

Were there any special ceremonies?

The Seminoles have some special things they do at their ceremonies. Do you want to hear what they do? In the ceremonies they have 2 instruments they like to play. They like to play the flute and the drum. They make songs with those instruments for sick people to recover, people who passed away, and for a newborn baby. In the most important ceremonie they did a lot of those things I said. It was a ceremonie called The Green Corn Ceremonie. I think they were sad and glad when they played this music because they played for sad and glad things.

What was their music like?

Do you want to listen to some Seminole music? Sit back. Like I told you in the ceremonies paragraph the Seminoles like to play the flute and the drum. Men sometimes play the flute to get women’s attention. The Seminoles played the drum in a rhythm with someone else singing. I learned that singing wasn’t just for entertainment because men played to get women’s attention.

What work did the men, women, and the children do?

The Seminoles loved to play but not so much work. Do you want to hear what they did for work. The men of the Seminoles did a lot of work. They had to defend their whole entire village. Not only that but they had to launch the attack on the enemy village. They also hunted and build weapons like clubs and javelins. The women had to find a home, make clothes, and cook food for the children. The kids did chores and played games like running and wrestling. I think they were unhappy with all of the work because they had to do a lot.
