Transcript of Semester 1 Part 19

  • 1. Wind AnalysisJanuary thru February Wind Direction Through the months of November through January, wind typically comes from the West and South with verylittle coming from the North and East. February contin-ues this trend, however Eastern winds start playing afactor. March and April tend to be somewhat of an anomoly. In March, the winds most directly come from the noth, east and south. Western winds fail to exist. In April, western winds kick in again while Southern winds re-duce. Most wind comes from the north and east. May through June see winds from the NNW throughEast to SSW. July tends to only receive northern winds, while Au-gust through September receives wind from the Norththrough East to the South. Finally, Octobers winds come mainly from the north-west, South and East. What can be discovered by reading these charts is thatthe warm weather months dont typically receive windsfrom the west while the cold winter months more direct-ly provide wind from this direction. The same could besaid of the eastern winds in reverse order of months.ARCH/DESOB/INARCH 6110 INTERACTIVE SPACES studio312workbook #1: site analysism.crawford r.davey a.gentles c.lech l.lim s.sirow10.04.0919
