Tripit is a semantic web based application that manages your travel planning.

Semantic search startup Tripit aims to make the process of booking travel online easier.

With TripIt, you forward incoming bookings to plans@tripit.com and the information in each reservation was automatically assessed, compiled and organized into a schedule.

You get a link back by email, showing all your travel data plus maps, weather reports, and all the confirmation numbers for your flights and address for your hotels and so on.

Easily access your itineraries via paper, email, personal calendar or mobile device.

Share your trips and see where you overlap with friends and colleagues.

Relationship with Course Contents:

This product help us to understand the basics of Semantic Web. TripIt is great Semantic Web Applications where the developers use the Semantic Web Technologies in a nice way.

Critique:

I found a few hiccups on this site. TripIt duplicates plans on a schedule if you accidentally forward a confirmation email more than once, and it works with most but not all reservations.

Recommendations:

It is a wonderful application but still it need more development in the field of semantics'. Perhaps the most common thing we do, once we arrive at our destination is eat, so they should be able to capture restaurant plans that we have made.

Conclusion:

According to my view it is greatest semantic web application which keep record, all of your travelling plans easily. If you wish you had a personal assistant to arrange your travel reservations into a neat itinerary, TripIt does a great job and requires minimal effort and time.
