SEMINER STRUCTURE• Introduction

• Type of robots driven cars

• How it works

• What is self driving cars

• Mass production

• Comparison with regular cars

• Advantages and limitations

• Conclusion

INTRODUCTION• An autonomous car also known as a driverless

car, self driviing car and robotic car.

• It is capable of fulfilling the main transportation capabilities of a traditional cars.

• It is capable of sensing its environment and navigation without human input.

• The speed of the vehicle is normally 20.1 km/h.

• It can sense their surrounding with such techniques as radar, lidar,GPS and computer vision.

TYPES OF AUTONOMOUS CARS

1.Toyota Pruises

2.Audi TT

3.The name of the first

Automatic car will be Tesla.

How it Works?Uses artificial technology intelligence and makes decisions on its own (if mistake is made it will alert driver)

Motors: turn wheel, break, accelerate, etc.

Sensors: not as good as a human so put more

Sensors are fed to an onboard computer

Already sent out vehicles across California (over 140,000 miles through traffic, residential, and highway)

Trying to find green alternatives

Double capacity of roads

Cars will be built lighter reducing carbon and gas costs

FUTURE ASPECTS OF MODIFICATION

Mass Production?

Years from mass production

But technologist are sure the idea will revolutionize the world

Under current law “a human must be in control of a car at all times.”

Are They Better than Regular Cars?

React faster than humans

360 degree perception

Cannot get distracted, sleepy, or intoxicated

Actively engage the driver (announcements like “approaching a crosswalk” or “turn ahead”)

Driver could regain power by hitting a red button on dashboard, touching the break, or turning the steering wheel

ADVANTAGES

1.The lack of human error whilst driving ,will result in a much safer journey.

2.Due to the sensors on the autonomous car, they will be able to pack closer together allowing more cars on the road and therefore shorting traffic times.

3.Disabilites would no longer be a factor in driving means anyone can drive.

4.There would be no need to pass a driving test or gain a driving licenses as everyone would be able to drive.

LIMITATIONS

There will be always worry of the computer crashing or manufacturing resulting in a major collision.

The lack of need for drivers would be a problem with the economy. In 2011 ,there were 73,000 taxi drivers in England who would become unemployed.

When there are first released, they are likely to be expensive.

CONCLUSION

It is a project that has been taken by google

The software powering Google”s cars is called google chauffeur.

The U.S. government allowed to test driverless cars in four state of U.S.

On december 22,2014,Google presented a new prototype of their driverless car and planned to test it on SAN FANSICO BAY Area roads beginning in 2015

How they overcame the problems

• THANK YOU ALL…..HAVE A NICE DAY
