INTRODUCTIONLockinex safety gates are supplieddirect from stock, in standard formats.

Quick despatch and delivery ensuresseamless installation by the engineer or end user.Simple to operate and with speciallydesigned torsion springs on the hinges,they are “self closing”.

APPLICATIONSelf closing Safety Gates are commonly in industry such as, processing plants, factories, wastemanagement. Installation in Walkways,access points, staircases, access ladders,ramps and high level walking areas.

COMPOSITION, MANUFACTUREManufactured form mild steel, with agalvanised finish.

Springs are stainless steel.

Powder coating can be applied to gatesif required.

Galvanised & Yellow coated gates are stock items.

DESIGN

Lockinex gates are manufactured frommanipulated tubing sections & plate steel.

Fully welded, they are of a one piece construction.

This provides the most robust applicationfor purpose and is proven to be the most successfuldesign for long term durability

Lockinex DO NOT employ any clamps or brackets inthe gate chassis/construction.

Incorporating the Lockinex Safety enclosed spring hinge.This Self closing gate comes with a hot dipped galvanised �nish as standard. The gate is of a superior, welded construction. Posts are available in 42.4mm dia or 48.3mm dia (Please specify when ordering). Gate functions through a 180 degree arc- maximum. Gate may be cut down to suit required opening and re-joined using the Lockinex gate adjustment kit.

It can be purchased separately and utilised as a safety gate for other purposes. This gate isself-closing. Perfectly Designed -The gate is of a superior, fully welded construction. Gate functions through 180 degree. Tensioning spring in either a clockwise or anti-clockwise direction to swing gate either way, it can be hung left or right handed. Gate may be cut down to suit required opening and re-joined using the Lockinex gate adjustment kit.

The Lockinex gate adjustment kit consists of 2 x A08-7 Lockinex key clamps which provide astrong joint between the 2 halves of the cut gate. Simply cut the gate vertically to suit the opening dimension required and rejoin using the gate adjustment kit.

Self colour lugs for welding.

Enclosed stainless steel spring set. The main body/housing is galvanised to BS EN1461: 2009. The hinges are self colour readyfor welding. The maximum load the spring can hold and still function properly is 10kg. If the load is greater than 10kg, considerusing more than 1 spring. Spring functions through 180 degree maximum.

Take the gate and align the top hinge with the upper tang of the spring, (Viewable from the top of the spring housing). Lower the gate into the respective hinge bodies.Set the gate in its CLOSED position between the posts.Turn bolt half turn , to increase spring torsion, in either a clockwise or anti-clockwise direction. This will swing the gate in the direction of choice. The gate can be hung left handed or right handed.Over torsion will damage the internal spring.

Prior to attachment of the gate,set this locking nut approximatelyhalfway down the length of the bolt.Turn bolt clockwise into the spring housing(aligning the lower spring tang in its slot)until locking nut reaches the spring housing. (This action compresses the spring within the housing.)
