4.1 Job specifications
The professional consultant - needs to advise the inside-company team and bring out the pros and
cons of the ERP´s that are in the selection. The consultant has to consider the special needs of the
company.
The business genius inside the company - needs to collect all the business experiences inside the
company that are concerned in choosing the new ERP. He/she must decide, which of the ERP-s is
suitable for the company and which sides and practices should be calculated in the requirements.
The work-practices genius inside the company - his/her task is to make sure, that all the needed
requirements are in place and that no important work-routine is left out. He/she also needs to find the
best way to solve the practices so that the work with the new ERP would be easy and practical.
The marketing genius inside the company (who knows a lot about the business relationships with
the suppliers) - his/her task is to be sure, that the ERP will be suitable for dealing with the inventory
and suppliers so that it is comfortable and useful.
The project manager - his/her task is to connect the knowledge of the inside-company team
members and lead the work, plan and organize the meetings and communication between the team
and consultant.
