It is a sowing device that precisely positions seeds in to the soil

Before the introduction of the seed drill, the common practice was to "broadcast" seeds by hand

Besides being wasteful, broadcasting was very imprecise and led to a poor distribution of seeds

A seedling machine can improve the pre specified rows, distance between plant and planting depth
