Another year has come and almost gone since the2008 VHSCA All-Star games and clinic. The 2009 gamesand clinic are winding down in their preparations. I hopeeach of you can make it to Hampton this July 6-10 toparticipate in a week of fellowship and fun as we enjoythe games and clinic.

We have 9,000 plus members this year and continueto grow each year.

I. Your NEW APPLICATION for VHSCA CoachesAssociation membership includes one million dollar, yearround liability insurance coverage. This alone, ifpurchased individually, would cost about $475 year. (If

you are coaching, you cannot afford tobe without this!)

Spring sports are coming to an end and I wish everyone the best in the upcoming district, regional and statetournaments. We have had a very tough spring with the weather but most of you have survived and like all goodcoaches you just keep going no matter what the situations are.

The VHSCA Clinic and All-Star games will be July 6-10 in Hampton. Please make every effort to be therebecause it a great week to see old friends and meet new ones. We will have some great speakers and I know you

are bound to get some good information. Clinic information and hotel reservations are in thismagazine as well as the college class for those of us who need recertification.

Again I hope to see a lot of you at the clinic and lets make this the biggest andbest yet. See you in Hampton.

REGISTRATION FORM

The American Association of Cheerleader Coaches and Administrators (AACCA) safety certification is endorsed by theNational Federation of State High School Associations, NCAA, National Athletic Trainers Association, University RiskManagers Association, Dollamar Sports Surfaces and the Womens Sports Foundation.

Our certification, modified and edited by the creators of The USGA & USDA certifications, has tested successfully innumerous courts of law, and is considered a standard in the cheerleader industry. Our comprehensive programcontains useful information for coaches at all levels.

The fee is $65.00 the program lasts for approximately 4 hours and includes a 100 question multiple choice exam. Allrequired material will be discussed prior to the exam. The Passing grade is 80% and the certification is good for 4 yearsindividuals who have certified prior to 2005 should recertify at this time.

Vincent BrownLinebackers CoachUniversity of Richmond

U. of Richmond Vincent Brownis entering his second year on theSpiders’ staff in 2009 as thelinebackers coach. He rejoinedLondon after spending 2007 as thegraduate assistant coach at the

University of Virginia.In his first year on staff, Brown inherited a group of

linebackers that were arguably the most talented inthe league, with All-Conference performers EricMcBride and Collin McConaghy returning as asophomore and junior, respectively. McBride alsogarnered CAA Defensive Rookie of the Year honors in2007.

In 2006, Brown worked as an inside linebackers coachfor the Dallas Cowboys under Bill Parcells. Brownplayed for Parcells during the final three years of hiseight-year career with the New England Patriots beforeretiring in 1995. Brown spent the 2005 Cowboystraining camp as part of the team’s minority coachinginternship program.

Brown’s previous coaching experience includes a four-year stint as an assistant coach at Meadowcreek HighSchool near Atlanta. He was also the school’s assistantAD for one year.

A native of Atlanta, Brown played at MississippiValley State where he earned Kodak All-Americahonors as a senior in 1987. He was a Second Team APAll-American as a junior. A three-time All-Conferencepick, he broke the school’s record for career tackleswith 570 stops while leading the team in tackles hislast three seasons. He graduated with a degree incriminal justice.

After being selected in the second round of the 1988NFL Draft, Brown went on to start 103 of 123 careergames for the Patriots, logging 811 tackles, 16.5 sacksand 10 interceptions.

Brown and his wife Chandra have four children,Dane, Vincent III, Raven and Jorian.

Rush ColeHead Men’s Tennis CoachChristopher NewportUniversity

The winningest men’s tenniscoach in CNU history, Rush Coleenters his 12th season at the helmand has a record of 123-69 aftergoing 13-8 in 2007. Cole has been

the architect of one the best stretches in programhistory as he led his team to the USA South Conferenceregular season and tournament championships in 2006and tournament finals in 2007. The 2006 title was thefirst such tournament championship since CNU tied forthe title in 1993 and the first outright title win since1990. Cole was a member of that team.

Cole is a former CNU player, from 1988-91, and had agreat career, especially in doubles. His career record indoubles of 55-19 is fifth best all-time at CNU, and his55 wins are tied for second place for the most doublesvictories. In 1990 he teamed with Holden Knight for a21-2 mark.

He is a graduate of nearby Phoebus H.S. where hewas a state semi-finalist in his junior year and teamMVP as a senior. The Dixie Conference recognized himas Coach of the Year in 1998 and 1999, and he was alsochosen Coach of the Year in 2005 in the renamed USASouth.

Kevin DresserHead Wrestling CoachVirginia Tech

A new era in VirginiaTech wrestling was kicked off onApril 14, 2006, when Tech Directorof Athletics Jim Weaverannounced the hiring of formerNCAA Champion Kevin Dresser as

the Hokies’ new head wrestling coach. Dresser becamethe 12th man to lead the Tech program since itsinception in 1920 and has made an immediate impacton the program.

Now in his third season and with recruiting startingto take off, Dresser and the Hokies are beginning tosee positive results from a young squad and program.

In each of his first two seasons, he’s had a wrestlerwin an ACC title and named Most OutstandingWrestler at the ACC Championsips. In 2007, it was JonBonilla-Bowman who won the ACC title at 157 poundsand last year Matt Epperly came out of nowhere towin the 165-pound class and advance to the NCAAChampionships.

he was the head coach at Christiansburg High Schoolfor 10 seasons, winning the Group AA state title fivetimes and claiming second place three times. Prior tohis stint in Christiansburg, he led Grundy High Schoolto eight titles in as many years.

“Obviously, we’ve got a challenge in front of us,”Dresser said. “When I came to Grundy andChristiansburg, we had challenges and I think we metthose challenges there. This is what gets me up in themornings.”

A native of Humboldt, Iowa, Dresser was a two-timehigh school state champion at Humboldt High School.He graduated from the University of Iowa, where hewon a national title in 1986 at 142 pounds.

Dresser was a two-time All-American (placing fourthin 1985 at 142 pounds), as well as a two-time Big 10champion. For his performance in 1986, he was giventhe Mike Howard Award, given to the most valuablewrestler for the Hawkeyes.

Dresser earned his B.S. in general studies from Iowain 1986. He and his wife, Penny, have three children:Emma (10), Anna (8) and Jack (6). Penny Dresser is anative of Blacksburg and the family resides in Riner.

James FinleyHead Volleyball CoachVirginia CommonwealthUniversity

A native Texan with a big smileand a knack for conversation,Finley firmly believes thatrelationships are the key to success.

A former high school and clubcoach, Finley moved into the collegiate ranks at TexasEl Paso, where he served as an assistant for two years.He became head coach at Arizona Western College inYuma, Ariz., in 2001. In four seasons there, theMatadors won four NJCAA Region I Division Ichampionships. The team was ranked in the top 10nationally each of the four seasons. His overall recordthere was 137-37.

Finley took over a VCU team that posted a 6-21record the previous season. His first Rams team wonthe CAA championship and a spot in the NCAAtournament. VCU had a 16-win improvement, secondbest in the country. The next season, VCU almost did itagain. As the sixth seed, the Rams made it all the wayto the CAA final.

The leap from the junior college ranks to the DivisionI level wasn’t as big as it might seem.

“I recruited Division I athletes,” Finley said of his timeat Arizona Western. “We would play spring gamesagainst Division I teams – Arizona, Texas A&M, TexasTech, Arizona State, Wichita State and UTEP. Our teamalways performed well.”

Finley’s passion for his sport and buildingrelationships extends beyond the court. He’s helpedorganize a booster club for his team and worked withcoaches in VCU’s other sports to plan a “field day” ofactivities for the student-athletes to bond and buildsupport for one another.

“James may be one of the most committed coaches Ihave ever been around,” said VCU Director of AthleticsNorwood T. Teague. “He lives and breathes VCUvolleyball.

Heidi FreitagerAssistant Softball CaochUniversity of Virginia

Heidi Freitager is in her firstyear as an assistant coach atVirginia. Freitager, who coaches Virginia’spitchers, arrives in Charlottesvilleafter a one-year stint at Temple.

Before arriving in Philadelphia, Freitager spent twoyears as the head coach at Everglades High School inMiramar, Fla. She led Everglades to the 2007 6A statechampionship while claiming two district titles. Shealso guided the West Pines Diamond Dusters 18 Goldsquad during her time in Florida.

Prior to coaching in the high school ranks, Freitagerserved as an assistant at Nova Southeastern (2005),Morehead State (2004) and New Mexico State (2003).

Freitager played at Northern Iowa (1997-2001) whereshe started at catcher for four seasons and led herteam to the Missouri Valley Conference championshipin 2000. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree inscience in 2001 and later went on to earn a master’sdegree in sports administration from Morehead Statein 2002.

Disa GarnerHead Volleyball CoachJames Madison University

Disa Garner heads into her 10thseason directing the women’svolleyball program at JamesMadison University in 2009. Sheenters the year havingseven winning seasons during her

nine-year tenure. In the previous nine seasons, the Dukes have claimed

one Colonial Athletic Association title, appeared in theNCAA tournament, advanced to the leaguechampionship match twice, and posted an overallrecord of 146-110. The Dukes have won an impressive71 percent (86-35) of their home matches and have laidclaim to five regular-season tournaments. JMU playershave received 19 All-CAA honors, five All-CAA rookie-team honors, 15 All-State laurels, one CAA Defensive

Player of the Year award, and one CAA Rookie of theYear award since the 2000 season.

One of Garner’s main priorities is for her team toperform as a champion both on the court and in theclassroom. Garner’s teams have posted a 3.00 grade-point-average nearly every semester since her arrival,including a program-record 3.328 g.p.a. during the Fallof 2004. The Dukes have earned and been honoredwith 42 CAA Commissioner’s Academic Awards underGarner’s guidance.

Garner brought outstanding credentials as a playerand a coach to the JMU campus. She was a standoutplayer for the Fighting Illini of the University of Illinoisfrom 1984-87 and was the captain of two teams thatwon Big Ten Conference championships (1986, 1987).Illinois’ 1987 team reached the semifinals of the NCAAtournament. The Illini went 124-28 in her four seasons.Garner was an All-Big Ten selection for the 1985, ‘86and ‘87 seasons and set Illinois’ career assists recordwith 5,516 in 141 matches. She was so highlyrespected as an athlete, that she was named to the BigTen’s all-decade team for the 1980s. She excelledacademically as well, earning CoSIDA Academic All-America honors in 1987.

Garner was the head coach at the University ofMissouri for the six seasons before moving to the JMUcampus. At Mizzou, she took a downtrodden programout of the cellar of one of the nation’s leadingconferences and proceeded to lead the Tigers to theirfirst Top 25 national ranking.

A native of Western Springs, Ill., Garner served heralma mater as an assistant from 1990-93. Illinoisposted a 90-39 record, finished 17th in the nation in1990, 1991 and 1993, and was ranked as high as fifthin 1992. Prior to that, she spent over a year-and-a-halfas an assistant coach at the University of Nebraska-Omaha with a team that finished in the Division II Top10 in 1989.

Garner was born in Hinsdale, Illinois. She and RonGarner were married in the spring of 2000. TheGarner’s and their daughters, Kayin and Tori, reside innearby town of Bridgewater, Va.

Garner feels privileged to have had theseopportunities. He attributes much of his success as acollegiate coach to the continued support that VirginiaHigh School coaches have given him through out hiscareer. Garner has coached at CNU, Clemson University,University of Illinois, UVA, and JMU. Many of hissuccess stories are about the Virginians he has coached.

He is married to the former Disa Johnson, JMUvolleyball coach, and they are the parents of twodaughters ages three and six.

Willie Mack GarzaAssistant Football CoachUniversity of Tennessee

Garza has spent the last fourseasons at the defensive coordinatorand defensive backs coach at NorthDakota State. Prior to that, hecoached one season at Tarleton StateUniversity, three at Texas Christian

and four at Western Michigan. The Horned Frogsplayed in a bowl game all three seasons of Garza’stenure and won the 2002 Conference USAChampionship.

During his final season at Western Michigan, theBroncos’ defense ranked fourth nationally in scoringdefense, ninth in total defense and 13th in passdefense. Garza also served as a graduate assistant atTexas for three seasons after playing four seasons inthe Longhorn secondary. He was a Freshman All-America selection in 1988.

Brad GreenbergHead Basketball CoachRadford University

years in basketball in a variety of capacities, includingsuccessful NBA and collegiate coaching, as well asmanagement and media experience.

Now in his second season on the Radford bench,Greenberg led his club to the biggest turnaround inleague history, earning him 2008-09 Big South Coach ofthe Year honors. After finishing seventh last season,Radford claimed its fourth Big South regular seasontitle and just its second tournament crown in schoolhistory.

Just after leading his club to the 2009 NCAATournament, Greenberg was tabbed the RichmondTimes Dispatch State Coach of the Year.

In two years at the helm of the Highlanders,Greenberg is 31-32 overall, including a 21-12 mark in2008-09, which was Radford’s seventh 20-win season inschool history.

Before arriving at Radford, Greenberg spent fourseasons at Virginia Tech alongside his brother, Seth.Brad was the first assistant hired after Seth acceptedthe head coaching position, and was promoted toassociate head coach in September 2004.

His two seasons prior to arriving at Virginia Tech werespent with his brother at South Florida, where he wasthe Director of Basketball Operations.

Before making the jump back to the college game,Greenberg had a distinguished career in the NBA,rising through the ranks from assistant coach togeneral manager. He was the general manager andvice president of basketball operations for thePhiladelphia 76ers from 1996-97. Among hisachievements in the Sixers front office, he wasresponsible for drafting Allen Iverson, the 2001 NBAMVP and 2005 NBA scoring leader.

Prior to his years in Philadelphia, Greenberg honedhis player personnel skills in seven years with thePortland Trailblazers. He arrived in 1989 as thePortland Trailblazers’ Director of Player Personnel, andwas promoted to the team’s vice president of playerpersonnel, a position he held from 1992-95..

Before embarking on a long career in the NBA,Greenberg got his start in coaching in 1977 at his almamater, American University. After one year with theEagles, he was an assistant coach at St. Joseph’sUniversity from 1978-84 where his talent evaluationskills first blossomed as the Hawks recruitingcoordinator.

Greenberg is a 1977 graduate of American Universitywith a Bachelor of Arts in interdisciplinary studies inathletics, the media and society. Greenberg currentlyresides in Blacksburg. His son Cory is a 2008 graduateof Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Arts degree inPolitical Science, and his daughter Ali is a seniorNational Honor Society inductee at Blacksburg HighSchool.

Geoff HiraiAssistant Softball CoachUniversity of Virginia

Geoff Hirai is in his first seasonwith the Virginia softball program. Hirai, who serves as hitting coachwhile also spearheading Virginia’srecruiting efforts, spent the pastthree seasons as an assistant at the

University of Washington. During his time in Seattle,the Huskies advanced to the NCAA Tournament threetimes, including a berth in the 2007 Women’s CollegeWorld Series. Hirai helped mentor five All-Americans(two-time honoree Ashley Charters, DominiqueLastrapes, Danielle Lawrie and Dena Tyson) and oneOlympian (Canada’s Lastrapes) over his three-year stint.

Hirai worked as owner, instructor and coach at theAll-Star Dugout in Irvine, Calif., before coaching atWashington. He also coached an 18-under travel teamfor four seasons, providing individual instruction toathletes pursuing careers in the collegiate andprofessional baseball ranks.

Prior to becoming the owner of the All-Star Dugout,Hirai was an associate scout with the Cincinnati Redsbaseball organization from 2001-03. In this capacity,Hirai was responsible for evaluating players that maybe draft worthy.

Hirai played collegiate baseball at Hawaii-Hilo, wherehe was a four-year letterwinner. He graduated in 1998with a bachelor of arts degree in history and was anassistant coach for three seasons at Hawai’i-Hilo whileworking to obtain his teaching certificate in secondaryeducation.

Lindsay JacksonHead Field Hockey CoachLimestone College

GAFFNEY, S.C.—LimestoneCollege Director of Athletics MikeCerino has announced thatLindsay Jackson will be the LadySaints’ head field hockey coach.Jackson will oversee all aspects of

the inaugural program that will begin competition inthe fall of 2009.

“We had several very qualified applicants, but Lindsayreally stood out,” stated Cerino. “She’s a bright youngcoach who brings a tremendous amount of energy tothe position. We are very excited to have her build thefoundation for success for our field hockey program.”

Jackson comes to Limestone from St. AndrewsPresbyterian College, where she served as the assistantwomen’s lacrosse coach since the fall of 2006. Shehelped the Knights to one of their best seasons inprogram history in 2007, as the squad set severalrecords.

She also has field hockey coaching experience at thehigh school level, where she has worked as an assistantcoach for Southern High School in Maryland. She alsohas coached for the Severna Park and East Coast FieldHockey camps.

She attended Meryhurst College in Erie, Pa., whereshe played field hockey and lacrosse. She earned All-Academic honors on four occasions. Jackson wasnamed to the Dean’s List and the IntercollegiateWomen’s Lacrosse Coaches Association Division IIAcademic Honor Roll. She graduated with a Bachelorof Arts degree in hotel, restaurant, and institutionalmanagement in May of 2006.

Limestone announced the addition of field hockey tothe Saints’ sports lineup on November 4. The LadySaints team will be the southernmost NCAA Division IIfield hockey team in the United States. Twenty-sixinstitutions sponsor field hockey squads that competeat the NCAA Division II level. Catawba College(Salisbury, N.C.) and Bellarmine University (Louisville,Ky.) will be the only other Division II schools south ofPennsylvania to have programs.

Tom MartinHead Soccer CoachJames Madison University

For evidence of Tom Martin’scoaching abilities, one merely hasto look at the numbers.

More than 400 career wins.Eight NCAA tournamentappearances. Two national

championships. Twenty-nine winning seasons in 32years of coaching.

Martin’s coaching career has been one of consistency,and that may be the feat most difficult to achieve insports. But year in and year out, Martin’s teams havebeen successful.

His West Virginia Wesleyan sides won back-to-backNAIA national championships in the mid-1980s. Andwhen Martin stepped up to NCAA Division I when hecame to JMU in 1986, he didn’t miss a beat. His JMUsoccer teams have been steady winners over the years,and he guides a program that has attained the highestlevel of achievement in the history of JMU soccer.Among the accomplishments of soccer at JMU underMartin:

- Sixth-winningest NCAA program of the 1990s- Top five national ranking- Eight NCAA tournaments, including two quarterfinals- Four conference tournament titles- Five conference Player of the Year recipientsIn recent years JMU has consistently been ranked

among the nation’s top programs. Eight of Martin’s

last 15 teams advanced to the NCAA tournament, andhis 1994 and 1995 squads were NCAA quarterfinalists.His teams won three straight Colonial AthleticAssociation tournaments and set a CAA record with a32-game unbeaten streak that spanned four seasons(1992-95).

He ranks among the winningest active NCAA DivisionI coaches by victories (second, 415) and percentage(fifth, 71.8%). His JMU program ranked sixth amongthe winningest NCAA Division I programs in the 1990s;that list includes six schools in its top 10 that havecombined to win 26 national titles.A history of success

Martin came to JMU from a successful eight-year stintat West Virginia Wesleyan, where he coached theBobcats to back-to-back National Association ofIntercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) national championshipsin 1984 and 1985. He was named NAIA national Coachof the Year in 1982, 1984 and 1985 and was honoredas national Coach of the Year by the NSCAA in 1984and 1985. Martin also coached the East Squad in the1984 Senior Bowl Soccer Classic.

In addition to the two national championships, WestVirginia Wesleyan also won three WVIAC titles, twoNAIA Area 8 titles and two NAIA District 28championships under Martin.

In 1999 Martin was honored with induction into theWest Virginia Wesleyan Hall of Fame.

The Lancaster, Pa., native earned a bachelor’s degreein physical education from Davis & Elkins College(1971) and was inducted into the D&E Hall of Fame in1995. He was a two-time team MVP and earnedWVIAC all-conference honors at D&E, where he playedon two NAIA national champion teams (1968 and1970) and a national runner-up team (1969). In 1972Martin earned a tryout with the NASL Dallas Tornadoand the Pittsburgh Miners of the ASL.

Martin earned a master’s degree in professionalphysical education (1974) and a doctorate in physicaleducation (1977) from West Virginia University. Healso holds a USSF “A” coaching license.

He and his wife, Cherylen, have a son, Sean, a seniorat JMU.

Kevin McMullanAssociate Head Baseball CoachUniversity of Virginia

Kevin McMullan starts his sixthseason at Virginia and is in histhird as associate head coach. Heserves as Virginia’s recruitingcoordinator and hitting coach andworks defensively with the

Cavaliers’ infielders and catchers. McMullan is knownas one of the top recruiters and developers of players

in the country. McMullan has helped guide Virginia to 216 wins in

his five seasons – a school record for most wins in afive-year period. Virginia also has earned five-consecutive NCAA Regional Appearances as well asthree No. 1 seeds – both firsts in program history.

In 15 years as a college coach, McMullan has had over60 players signed by professional organizations. Twelveof his Virginia position players have been selected inthe Major League Baseball First-Year player draft,including Ryan Zimmerman (Washington Nationals),Mark Reynolds (Arizona Diamondbacks) and JoeKoshansky (Colorado Rockies). Ryan Zimmerman wenton to make one of the quickest jumps ever to themajor leagues – two months – while Reynolds andKoshansky made their big league debuts in 2007. Healso was instrumental in development of ArizonaDiamondback Chad Tracy (1B-3B) while coaching himat East Carolina University.

McMullan has been instrumental in landing the mosthighly-touted recruiting classes to ever sign withVirginia. The 2004 class was ranked 12th nationally,while the 2005 class rated 10th, the 2006 group eighth,the 2007 class 13th and the 2008 group 14th.

Defensively, the Cavaliers have shined underMcMullan. Four of the five teams have ranked amongthe nation’s top 40 in fielding percentage, with aprogram-record .975 mark (seventh nationally) in 2005.

Prior to his present position at Virginia, McMullanserved as a manager in the Atlanta Bravesorganization. While with the Braves, he alsocoordinated the catchers in spring training and was theCoordinator of extended spring training.Before joining the Braves’ organization, McMullanserved as acting head coach at East Carolina in 2001-02for Keith LeClair, who was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’sDisease. During that season, McMullan coached ECU toa 43-20 record, Conference USA Championship andNCAA Regional Final. At ECU, he served as therecruiting coordinator, hitting coach and catchinginstructor.

McMullan also served as an assistant coach at St.John’s (1996-99) and coached at Indiana University ofPennsylvania (1994-96). At St. John’s, McMullan wasthe recruiting coordinator and hitting coach and alsocoached the catchers.

Aside from his numerous coaching experiences,McMullan also had a decorated career as an athlete.He enjoyed a pro baseball career as a member of theNew York Yankees organization (1990-92) and for theSalt Lake City Trappers (1990 and 1992). In 1990, hewas a Pioneer League All-Star. McMullan also was atwo-sport NCAA All-American as a catcher in baseballand as a linebacker in football at IUP. He was amember of six championship teams at IUP.

Brian O’ConnorHead Baseball CoachUniversity of Virginia

Now in his sixth season at thehelm of the Cavaliers, BrianO’Connor has built the Virginiaprogram into one of the nation’selite. O’Connor enters 2009 withan overall record of 216-89 and a

87-53 record in ACC play while leading Virginia to five-consecutive NCAA Regional appearances – a first inprogram history. UVa’s 216 wins are the program’smost ever in a five-year span, leading to record crowdswhich have flocked to Davenport Field each season.

O’Connor is the fastest coach in school history toreach 100 and 200 career wins. His UVa teams haveearned four 40-win seasons while reaching the NCAAtournament five times, including playing host to NCAAregionals three times. The Cavaliers are one of just 17programs in the nation to advance to the NCAAtournament in each of the last five seasons.O’Connor was named 2006 College BaseballFoundation Coach of the Year. He was named the 2004ACC Coach of the Year, becoming just the second UVahead baseball coach to receive the honor. He also wasnamed the 2004 Atlantic Region Coach of the Year aswell as a finalist for the 2004CollegeBaseballInsider.com National Coach of the Year. Twenty-two of O’Connor’s Virginia players have beenselected in the Major League Baseball First-Year playerdraft, including a school-record six apiece in 2007 and2008. Ryan Zimmerman (fourth overall, Washington),Mark Reynolds (16th round, Arizona) and JoeKoshansky (sixth round, Colorado) each have reachedthe major leagues. Zimmerman went on to make oneof the quickest jumps ever to the major leagues – twomonths – while Reynolds and Koshansky earned theirbig league debuts in 2007.

O’Connor was named the head baseball coach atVirginia on July 8, 2003. In his first season as headcoach, he guided UVa to one of the most successfuland storied seasons in the history of the baseballprogram. He led the Cavaliers to a 44-15 overall record,18-6 mark in the ACC and second-place ACC finish. The18 wins were the most ever by a Cavalier team inleague play at the time. For the first time in schoolhistory, Virginia played host to an NCAA Regional

when Davenport Field at the UVa Baseball Stadium wasthe site of the Charlottesville Regional.

O’Connor’s success has spilled over into thecommunity as attendance records have been shatteredover the last five years. The Cavaliers set a single-season attendance record in 2007 while playing infront of several record crowds. UVa has ranked amongthe top 40 in the nation in total home attendance andaverage home attendance in all five years ofO’Connor’s tenure.

The Cavaliers have become a fixture in the nationalpolls, highlighted by UVa’s highest ranking ever of No.3 in 2007. Much of this is a result of O’Connor’s stellarrecruiting classes, which have been the most highly-touted groups to ever sign with Virginia. O’Connor andhis staff have brought in five straight recruiting classesthat have ranked among the nation’s best. The 2004class was ranked 12th nationally, while the 2005 classrated 10th, the 2006 group eighth, the 2007 class 13thand the 2008 group was 14th.

O’Connor brought a wealth of baseball experience toCharlottesville when he arrived and developed Virginiainto a nationally-prominent program. He came toVirginia after spending nine seasons at Notre Dame(1995-2003), where he served as an assistant coachfrom 1995-2001 before being promoted to associatehead coach in 2001. He was named the 2001 NationalAssistant Coach of the Year by the American BaseballCoaches Association (ABCA) and Baseball America andwas AFLAC National Assistant Coach of the Year in2003.

O’Connor, who pitched on Creighton’s 1991 CollegeWorld Series team, tutored 17 eventual professionalbaseball pitchers, including 13 Major League Draftselections, at Notre Dame. He has a proven trackrecord of developing pitchers into top-level prospects,including a pair of first-round selections – Brad Lidge in1998 and Aaron Heilman in 2001 – who weren’t evendrafted in the first 40 rounds coming out of highschool (Lidge was a 42nd-round pick, Heilman a 55th-rounder).

A native of Council Bluffs, Iowa, O’Connor is a 1993graduate of Creighton University. As a pitcher on theCreighton baseball team, he posted a career record of20-13 with seven saves and a 3.78 ERA. Aftergraduating from Creighton with a bachelor’s degree inmarketing, O’Connor was selected in the 29th round ofthe Major League Baseball draft by the PhiladelphiaPhillies. He notched a 4-2 record with a 4.03 earnedrun average for Martinsville (Va.) of the AppalachianClass-A League in 1993 before accepting a position aspitching coach at Creighton.

O’Connor is married to the former Cindy Petratis. Thecouple has three children – two daughters, Ellie andMaggie, and a son, Dillon.

Bob ShoopDefensive CoordinatorCollege of William & Mary

One of the league’s mostestablished mentors, 20-yearcoaching veteran Bob Shoopenters his second season ofoverseeing the College of William& Mary’s defense. An outstanding

teacher and organizer, Shoop brings the program aproven track record of success and championshipcredentials.

Shoop’s resumé spans two decades as a Division Icoach, including two separate stints as a defensivecoordinator (Yale, 1994-96; Villanova, 1997) and threeyears of head coaching experience (Columbia, 2003-05).

He is responsible for recruiting Western Pennsylvaniaand the Richmond area.

Shoop’s most recent position prior to coming to theCollege was at the University of Massachusetts, wherehe mentored the Minutemen’s defensive backfield andhelped the squad to an appearance in the NCAADivision I-AA Championship game in 2007. His seasonat UMass was successful on an individual basis as well,as three of his players were named to all-conferencehonors, including a pair being tabbed for first-teamaccolades.

Prior to his season in Amherst, Shoop headed theColumbia football program for three seasons andproduced 20 All-Ivy League selections during histenure.

Prior to Columbia, he served as defensive secondarycoach at Boston College for four years (1999-2002).Shoop played a major role in the Eagles’ success,including bowl victories in three of his four seasons.Shoop’s secondary was a key cog in BC’s 9-4 record andMotor City Bowl victory in 2002, as the Eagles ranked13th in the nation in passing defense and 17th in passefficiency defense.

Shoop played his collegiate football at Yale. Heearned honorable mention All-Ivy accolades in 1987 asa wide receiver. He was recognized with Yale Football’sprestigious Robert Gardner Anderson Memorial Awardfor team spirit, dedication and leadership. Shoop alsocaptained the Bulldog baseball team for which heearned four letters. He twice earned the Ducky PondAward as the team’s most outstanding pitcher.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts in economics fromYale in 1988.

Joe VerbanicHead Softball CoachGeorge Mason University

Joe Verbanic is in his fifth yearas the head coach of GeorgeMason softball. Verbanic bringswith him more than 20 yearscombined coaching experience atboth the collegiate and high

school levels. Most recently, Verbanic was at Alta VistaHigh School (1986-2004).

Last season, Mason totaled 19 wins, including twoCAA series wins, and saw a number of records broken.Ashli Breau set school marks in home runs, battingaverage and slugging percentage while BeckyAnderson set a new school mark in appearances.

From 1998-2003, Verbanic served as an assistant coachat San Diego State University, where he played a leadrole in recruiting. During his stint with SDSU, theAztecs were Mountain West Conference Championstwice (2002 & 2003) and were also participants in theNCAA Division I Regional twice (2001 & 2003). Inaddition, Verbanic coordinated field maintenance andparticipated in the new field/stadium planning anddevelopment efforts while with the Aztecs. Prior toSDSU, Verbanic served as an assistant coach at PalomarCommunity College in San Marcos, Calif. (1994-98).

Verbanic played fast-pitch softball from 1982-1994with the Vista Bombers, which placed second at theASA “A” Nationals in 1991 while also qualifying for theISC World Tournamennt from 1989-94. In addition,Verbanic was a three-time member of the WesternSoftball Congress All-Star squad.

Verbanic played baseball and was a graduateassistant at SDSU from 1977-82 where he received hisbachelor’s degree in business administration and wenton to earn his teaching credential for business

education in 1984. Most recently, Verbanic received hisMaster’s in physical education from Azusa PacificUniversity in 2004.

Frank WilsonAssistant Football CoachUniversity of Tennessee

Frank Wilson arrives atTennessee having spent his entirecoaching career in the states ofMississippi and Louisiana. He spentthe 2008 season mentoring therunning backs at Southern Miss and

the previous three seasons at Ole Miss under Orgeroncoaching running backs and assisting with specialteams. Prior to entering the college ranks, Wilsoncoached from 1997-2001 at Edna Karr High School (La.)before being named the head coach O. Perry WalkerHigh School (La.). He also student coached for oneseason at his alma mater, Nichols State.

Wilson coached NFL back Ben Jarvus Green-Ellis toback-to-back 1,000-yards seasons and Mico McSwain toFreshman-All-America honors while at Ole Miss. In thehigh school ranks, he led his team to the 2002 Class 4ALouisiana State Championship game while at O. PerryWalker. In his seven seasons as a high school coach, heguided 22 players to Division I football scholarships.

Wilson and his wife, Tiffany, have three children,Alaina, Sa’bree and Frank IV.

Sparky WoodsHead Football CoachVirginia Military Institute

Sparky Woods became the 30thhead football coach in theInstitute’s 117-year history onFebruary 12, 2008, bringing tenyears of head coaching experienceat both the SEC and FCS (I-AA)

level.“I am extremely happy that Sparky Woods was

interested in VMI,” said White. “His experience as ahead football coach, both at Appalachian StateUniversity and the University of South Carolina, puthim at the top of our list. I also like his richbackground as an offensive coordinator in someoutstanding programs. I am excited about thepotential of VMI Football and I feel that Coach Woodswill build a successful program here.”

“I am pleased that Coach Woods has accepted ouroffer and the challenge to lead VMI football,” said VMISuperintendent General J.H. Binford Peay III. “ We arefortunate to have such a highly principled, seasonedcoach and we are confident in his abilities to win hereand do so in the VMI way.”

Woods, 54, returns to the FCS (I-AA) ranks where he

produced a successful run as head coach ofAppalachian State for five seasons from 1984 through1988. Woods guided the Mountaineers to a 38-19-2mark and two Southern Conference titles (1986, 1987)and two I-AA playoff appearances. Over the two-yearspan in ‘86-‘87, Appalachian State posted a perfect 13-0 conference mark.

The Southern Conference tabbed Woods as Coach ofthe Year for three consecutive years (1985-87) and hewas also named Kodak Region II Coach of the Year in1986. As a head coach overall, Woods holds a 62-47-5mark.

“We are excited about joining the Keydets,” saidWoods. “I wanted to extend my thanks and gratitudeto General Peay, the committee, and special thanks toCoach Donny White for the confidence he has shownin us. I am appreciative of Coach Jim Reid and hisstaff’s contributions to the program. I especially lookforward to meeting the players as we work together tokeep VMI football moving ahead in the years tocome.”

Woods recently served as running backs coach atAlabama from 2003 through 2006. While in Tuscaloosa,Woods coached Tide running back Kenneth Darby totwo consecutive 1,000 yard seasons and also mentoredShaun Williams, who led the SEC in rushing yardage in2003 and was a semifinalist for the Doak Walkeraward. The Tide led the SEC in rushing for threeconsecutive seasons (2003, 2004, 2005).

Woods was also head coach at South Carolina from1989-93, and later served as offensive coordinator andquarterbacks coach at Memphis (1995-96), Virginia(1997-98), and Mississippi State. At Virginia, Woodstutored NFL QB Aaron Brooks who finished as theschool’s third all-time leading passer (5,118 yds) andsecond all-time leader in passing TD’s (33). While atMSU, Woods coached MSU’s all-time passing leaderWayne Madkin and help establish record-settingoffenses for the Bulldogs.

Woods as an assistant coach participated in five bowlgames; the 2006 Cotton Bowl, 2004 Music City Bowl,2000 Independence Bowl, 1999 Peach Bowl, and 1998Peach Bowl.

In 1994, Woods served as an offensive assistant forthe New York Jets.

Woods is a 1976 graduate of Carson-Newman, andbegan his coaching career at Tennessee later that year.In 1977, he moved to Kansas before serving one yearas defensive backs coach at North Alabama in 1978.From 1979-82 he coached at Iowa State handling thereceivers before joining Appalachian State in 1983 asoffensive coordinator, quarterbacks, and running backscoach under Mack Brown. One year later, Woods wasnamed head coach at Appalachian State.

Mike YoungHead Basketball CoachWofford College

In his 20th season with theWofford program, Mike Young ledthe Terriers to their best seasonever as a NCAA Division I programin 2008-09. After 13 seasons as anassistant to Richard Johnson,

Young begins his eighth year as head coach of theTerriers.

As head coach, Young has posted a 90-117 overallrecord and has coached eight all-conference selections.More impressive is the fact that every player who hasexhausted their eligibility has graduated fromWofford.

Young led his team to a 16-14 record in the 2008-09season, which included a 12-8 mark in the SouthernConference. It was the first winning record for theWofford program since moving to NCAA Division I. The season included key wins on the road atChattanooga and The Citadel and also a season-sweepof Furman for the first time since 1999. The Terrierstook SEC-foe Georgia to overtime before falling by onepoint.

Young has recruited and coached eight All-SoConselections (Tyler Berg, Ian Chadwick, Mike Lenzly, LeeNixon, Howard Wilkerson, Drew Gibson, NoahDahlman and Junior Salters) for the Terriers in additionto a SoCon Freshman of the Year (Chadwick, 1997-98)and four members of the All-SoCon Freshman Team(Chadwick, Justin Stephens, Berg and Brad Loesing).

A native of Radford, Va., Young has beeninstrumental in Wofford’s success on the court. In fourof their first eight seasons of SoCon play, the Terriershave finished higher than their preseason forecast bythe league coaches and media.

Young came to Wofford after serving as a graduateassistant for one year under Oliver Purnell at RadfordUniversity. A 1986 graduate of Emory & Henry College,he was a four-year letterman in basketball for coachBob Johnson and the team captain his junior andsenior seasons.

Young and his wife, Margaret, were married onAug. 13, 1994 in her hometown of Camden, S.C. She isa 1992 Wofford graduate and a partner withPricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. The couple has adaughter, Cooper, 9, and a son, Davis, 6.

GENERAL CRITERIANominees must exemplify the highest standards of sportsmanship, ethical conduct, moral character, and carry theendorsement of their respective high school.

The categories of athlete, coach, and contributor are included on the nomination form for expediency in understanding theprimary area in which an individual is to be considered for their achievements in interscholastic athletics and activities. Thegrouping is for screening purposes only and to assist those making the nominations in understanding the type of informationrequired. Once nominees are inducted, they are not categorized, but all are recognized as members of the Virginia HighSchool Hall of Fame.

To further explain, athletes would be former student participants who are being nominated for their achievements ininterscholastic athletics. Coaches would be considered on the merits of their high school coaching achievements only. Acontributor would be an individual who has made a contribution to interscholastic athletics or activities in some capacity otherthan those previously mentioned, including such areas as administration, sports ,medicine, sports media, official, activitiessponsor or participant, etc.

All candidates will be judged on their significant and/or long term contribution to interscholastic athletics andactivities. While many have served their school and local programs over a long and distinguished career, theiraccomplishments must have been worthy of state recognition for them to be considered. Longevity, withoutmeaningful state impact, does not constitute appropriate credentials for hall of fame consideration.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

(a) Coaches being considered must be retired or deceased with at least 20 years service in Virginia at a member school(s) orhave served 25 years at a member school(s) and still actively coaching. Persons nominated as a contributor to the VHSLmust meet similar criteria for a comparable period of time. If the candidate is a coach, the candidate must be a member ofthe Virginia State High School Coaches Association

(b) Athletes are eligible for nomination 5 years after their high school graduation. Their nomination initially will be placed in aInactive Category; 10 years after their high graduation, they will be placed in the Active Category and brought before theScreening Committee for consideration in the Hall of Fame.

METHODS OF NOMINATION(a) Any VHSCA member in good standing or VHSL member school may nominate.(b) The nominating deadline in Oct. 31, in the year prior to the year of induction.(c) No individual may make more than one nomination per year.(d) Nominations for candidates not selected shall remain open for consideration each of the next two years but will no

longer be considered thereafter unless a new renomination is submitted.

Alvis Mann is from Hampton, Virginia. He and his wife, Carol, have twodaughters, Crystal Nicole and Jessica Renee. Alvis’ coaching experience hasspanned 32 years in Boys Tennis and 35 years as the Assistant FootballCoach at Hampton High School, the number one high school program inthe state of Virginia and America, led by Coach Michael Smith. Thefootball team has won 12 State Championships, 3 State Runner UpChampionships and 28 District Championships in the last 33 years. Alvishas coached in 2 Virginia All Star Football Games, in 1997 and again in2001. In Boys Tennis he has been Coach of the Year in Peninsula District 5times, also the National Coach of the Year in Region II and was a NHSACACoach of the Year Finalist 2005 in Orlando Florida.

As a 35 year member of the Virginia High School Coaches Association,Alvis has served as President from 2002-2004. He has served on the legislative and executive committee.He is also the Assistant-Director to the All-Star Summer Games for the Virginia High School CoachesAssociation. Alvis has served his community as the Tennis Coordinator for the Achievable Dream Programin Newport News for 3 years, and also as the Tennis Director for Achievable Dream in Hampton.

ere’s wishing the best to our friend and coachingcolleague, Nick Colobro, on his retirement. Nick

accomplished many milestones during his coaching careerand along with his sidekick, Phil Robbins, has been acornerstone and foundation for the VHSCA. The supportfor the association and All-State games spearheaded bythese two in southwest Virginia has been invaluable. Wewill certainly miss Nick at the summer games and VHSCAmeetings.

Nick will retire as the Assistant Principal of Gate CityHigh School. As Athletic Director, he was responsible forcoordinating athletic schedules, overseeing athleticexpenditures, preparing and submitting athletic schedulesand eligibility list to the Virginia High School League andscheduled schools. He also assisted in policies andprocedures governing school athletics. His overall teamrecord as football coach is 235-78-1.

For three years, Nick served as head football coach,head golf coach and as a physical education teacher ofTazewell High School. He was responsible for directingand coordinating the 8th grade, junior varsity and varsityfootball teams of Tazewell. He directed and coordinatedthe golf team. He also instructed 9th and 10th gradeclasses in physical, health and driver education. His overallteam record as football coach is 24-11-0.

As Athletic Director and head football coach ofMassanutten Military Academy, Nick was responsible forscheduling the games for all athletic programs. His dutiesincluded purchasing athletic equipment and maintainingathletic fields and facilities. He was required to review andupdate the athletic budget, schedule the transportation forathletic events, and schedule officials for athletic events.He also supervised night study for cadets. Finally, herecruited all football players and counseled athletes intocolleges.

Nick was also the defensive coordinator of thefreshman football team and a recruiter for VirginiaPolytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg,VA.

Playing ExperienceNick was a three-year football letterman at Virginia

Polytechnic Institute. Prior to college, he was a three-yearletterman in both football and basketball at Bluefield HighSchool in Bluefield, VA.

Career Coaching HighlightsAs head football coach, Nick has a career record of

259-89-1. He has been award District Coach of the Year14 times, Regional Coach of the Year 11 times and oncefor State Coach of the Year. He served a two-year term aspresident of the Virginia High School Coaches Associationand has been a member of the association for 27 yearsand served on the Legislative Board and ExecutiveCommittee for 15 years. He was a member of both theNational Coaches Association and the Hall of Fame of theVirginia High School League.

On numerous occasions, Nick served as District,Region and Sub-State Tournament Director for football,baseball, baseball, volleyball and softball. He has servedand chaired numerous committees on the District, Regionand State level. For the East-West All-Star Games, Nickhas been head coach and assistance coach. He was alsoa clinician at many coaching clinics in Virginia andTennessee.

VHSCA AwardsAll awards presented by the VHSCA are listed below and included are any special criteria for special awards. For

coaching awards, the coach must be an active member of the VHSCA. The awards application is always in the VirginiaCoach. Send duplicate applications for each award requested.

Note change in request procedure below!I STATE CHAMPION RING AWARD

The VHSCA will present a ring to any active memberhead coach who has won two state championships in thesame sport. Recipients need to submit the awardsapplication form with ring size, stone, and verified two statechampionship years. There is no charge for the ring. Failureto attend and receive the ring at the VHSCA Banquet duringthe summer clinic will result in a $25.00 charge unless theAwards Chairman is notified before July 1. A head coach canreceive only one state championship ring. However,additional rings may be purchased.

II STATE CHAMPION PLAQUESThese plaques must be requested. There is no charge.

Failure to attend and receive the plaque at the VHSCABanquet during the summer clinic will result in a $10.00charge unless the Awards Chairman is notified before July 1.

III STATE RUNNER-UP AND REGIONAL CHAMPIONPLAQUES

These plaques must be requested by submitting anawards application form. There is no charge except forpostage and handling if requested within two years. Anyrequests prior to the previous two school years will cost$12.00 per plaque. Send check payable to VHSCA withapplication form.

IV DISTRICT CHAMPION CERTIFICATESThe certificates must be requested by submitting an

awards application form. There is no charge except forpostage and handling if requested within two years. Anyrequests prior to the previous two school years will cost$3.00 per certificate. Send check payable to VHSCA withapplication form.

V DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARDSFour of these awards can be given each year (one per

four areas of state). The only criteria is to submit a writtennomination to the Awards Chairman.

VI FRANK McCUE SPORTS MEDICINE AWARDThis award is presented each year to a doctor or

trainer who has made outstanding contributions to highschool athletics. A written nomination must be submittedto the Awards Chairman.

VII MARSHALL JOHNSON NEWS MEDIA AWARDThis award is presented each year to an outstanding

high school sports journalist. A written nomination mustbe submitted to the Awards Chairman.

VIII JIMMIE BRYAN SCHOLARSHIPThree $1,000.00 scholarships are awarded each year

to outstanding high school senior student-athletes.Information, deadlines, and application forms will be in theOctober and February issues of Virginia Coach.

X STATE COACHES OF THE YEAR (CAREER) AWARDSDuring the July meeting of the VHSCA Legislative

council, the Sports Interest Groups select fifteen coachesand one athletic director as State Coaches of the Year(Career) and Virginia’s nominees for National Coach of theYear. The fifteen sports are football, boy’s basketball, girl’sbasketball, boy’s track, girl’s track, baseball, wrestling,swimming, volleyball, cross country, softball, soccer, golf,tennis, and special sports (gymnastics). The nomineesenter competition for Regional and National Coach of theYear (Career) honors. These coaches are also honored atthe Awards Banquet at our summer clinic with a StateCoach of the Year (Career) Plaque.

XI ALL-STAR COACHES AWARDSAt our summer clinic Awards Banquet, our football,

boy’s basketball, girl’s basketball, baseball, softball,volleyball and boy’s soccer All-Star coaches are presenteda plaque.

XII COACHES CAREER AWARDCoaches are recognized after 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 (and

so on) years service in the coaching profession. Combinedhead and assistant coaching experience is considered. Tobe considered for these awards, a coach must be an activeor lifetime member of the VHSCA. Five years of servicemust be in a Virginia High School League member school.

Step 1 The 10 year award is a certificate.

Step 2 The 15 year award is a pin and certificate.

Step 3 The 20 year award is a 7" x 9" plaque.

Step 4 The 25 year award is a 8" x 10" plaque.

Step 5 The 30 year award is a ring or plaque or engraved serving tray (recipients choice).

Step 6 The 35 year is a 12" x 15" plaque.

Step 7 The 40 year award is a desk or mantleclock.

*NO RETROACTIVE AWARDS WILL BE GIVENBEFORE STEP 5.

*Awards for state champions, all ring recipients,steps four and above for milestone, and 25 year and upfor career awards will be presented annually at theVHSCA Banquet held during the summer clinic. Section 1: There shall be three classes of membership: Active, Allied, and Life.A. Active membership is open to any individual actively:

1. Coaching a V. H. S. L. recognized athletic team.2. Coaching the V. H. S. L. athletic activity of cheerleaders3. Employed as a certified athletic trainer, at a public high school in Virginia, whose school is a voting member of the Virginia High

School League. Each active member is entitled to one vote.4. Middle school and Junior High School coaches are eligible for membership in the VHSCA if they actively coach or assist

with coaching a team that is in a feeder school for their High School. Such membership will have to be applied for andsigned by the senior high school athletic director.

B. Allied membership is open to any individual not meeting the criteria for active membership, but interested in supporting the VHSCA.Allied members do not receive active member privileges and benefits except all publications.

C. Life membership is open at regular cost to a coach who leaves the coaching profession with a minimum of 20 years of coaching serviceand was a member in good standing of the VHSCA. Life members shall have all the privileges of active membership. Membership in theAssociation shall be for one year (from September 1 to August 31). Membership appeals may be made to the VHSCA ExecutiveCommittee. In special situations, the VHSCA Executive Committee may grant, deny or revoke membership.

TIPS FOR COMPLETING MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION

When completing the membership application, please keep the following tips in mind.

BE SURE TO USE THE 2009-10 MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION.

1. Last name is first. Please put titles immediately after the last name, i.e. Jr., Sr., III, etc.(Include maiden name if newly married)

2. It is requested that the home address is used.

3. PLEASE complete the ZIP CODE boxes. It is not imperative to have the last four digits, but if known, please include.

4. All phone numbers need area codes.

5. Please provide birthdate – needed for insurance purposes.

6. Complete boxes for number of years as a coach.

7. Since active members must coach in VHSL member schools, the high school name mustbe printed in school boxes.

8. If a member last year, please provide membership card number.

9. Please list ALL coaching responsibilities.

10. THE APPLICATION MUST BE SIGNED BY PERSON REQUESTING MEMBERSHIP.

11. THE LAST SECTION MUST BE COMPLETED AND SIGNED BY THE ATHLETIC DIRECTOROR PRINCIPAL FOR ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP.

• Request for Life Membership SHOULD include the $35.00 membership fee.Additional paperwork is required and will be sent upon receipt of initial application.

• This is a one time approval and you need only to complete an application, and paythe membership fee in succeeding years.

• Checks should be made payable to VHSCA.

• Enrollment period is August 1 - November 1. No applications will be processedbefore August 1st. Requests for membership after November 1 will be processedONLY if accompanied by certification that the coach was not hired prior toNovember 1 or is accompanied with an additional $15.00 late penalty. NO COACHWILL BE ALLOWED TO COACH IN AN ALL-STAR GAME IF NOT JOINED BEFORENOVEMBER 1.

• LOST OR DESTROYED Membership cards will be replaced for a charge of $10.00. Uponreceipt of the fee, replacement cards will be mailed.
