The choir have completed two of their engagements: singing at the Estuary League of Friends Carol Service and Clyst St Mary Church Christmas Fayre. Sadly they didn’t make it through to the final of BBC Radio Devon’s Star for Christmas but they will be treating us to their fantastic rendition of ‘Baby Jesus Sleeps’ in the Christingle service. We hope that you all enjoyed a good Christmas, making new family memories, maintaining old traditions and squeezing in some time for rest and relaxation between the present buying, wrapping and cooking. School will re-open on 8 th January 2019 for the start of the spring term and we are looking forward to the many events that will take place this term; the arrival of spring and especially the dark evenings drawing out. We will be setting a date for the official opening of our new building, completed over the summer, so that the wider community can view this lovely addition to our school, so keep an eye out for that in future editions of this magazine. Happy New Year to you all. Badminton Club The club plays Tuesdays 8-10 pm in the Village Hall. New members, even beginners, are welcome.
