A beautiful scenery around it and the icons zooms in on different points of the statue. This would be a

perfect class trip inside the classroom via Google

Earth.

Secondlife offers

students the op-

portunity for experience not afford-

ed in the real world. It allows for

creativity and teaches in ways that

supports the technological age. Stu-

dents can learn with this tool in the

classroom setting as it allows explo-

ration in the virtual world.. Howev-

er, the disadvantage is not limited

but include the fact that it takes

away from the actual reality of life

as mimics persons, places . Teach-

ing should continue to include the

five modules of learning which are

seeing, touching, smelling, hearing

and tasting if appropriate.

Google Earth is

virtual globe allowing

us to view the earth

using 3-D. This tool which supports

the real world. Students can take in-

expensive trips just sitting at the

computer. They could zoom in on

places heard of and cannot visit, see

far away land, and explore their

world at their

fingertip. This tool is definitely a

keeper in the classroom to enhance

learning. As with everything,

Google Earth has it advantages and

its disadvantages.
