Group A: specific conditions (Sec. 7)

Group A assembles the regions and the countries which were targeted under the 1st Call for proposals 2006.

Priority will be given to the partnerships selected last year and which have signed a Framework Partnership Agreement with the Agency. This is subject to the following conditions

• that all contractual and reporting obligations are fulfilled by the partnership;

• that their performance is considered in line with the principles and expectations of the programme by the Agency; and

• that a new submission is made.

In case of one or more of the above conditions are not respected, the funding for the respective lot will be granted to a new partnership.

•The Neighbouring countries in the South Mediterranean and Eastern Europe covered by the ENPI regulation plus Russia (covered both by the ENPI and the TACIS regulations)

•Central Asian Republics (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan) covered by the DCI regulation

•Three partnerships will be selected. •The estimated maximum grant per partnership is EUR 4.150 million and the minimum mobility flow must be of 145 students.•Regional Needs and thematic fields of study (sec. 7.1.1)

Please note the addition/modification to the general provisions, the following rules will apply:

2. Partnership composition

– At least one University in at least three of the countries targeted in lot 9. Priority could be given to proposals involving partnerships from all four targeted countries.

– Partnership composition may cover HEIs of both lots (Interlot composition between lots 8 and 9)

4. Regional Needs and thematic fields of studyBased on an analysis of the specific region needs, a list of regional needs in terms of thematic fields of study has been identified for this window. Proposals operating in the fields listed in Sec. 7.1.3-3 could be given priority over proposals operating in other fields provided that they can meet the high quality level requested.
