SEASON'S GREETINGS - HAPPY NEW YEAR

J. MAYER H. would like to thank all of our partners and friends for thesuccessful collaborations and a fantastic 2013.

2013 was an eventful year, during which we were able to realize manynational and international projects with great enthusiasm. In Georgia, we wereable to finish the sculpture on the pier in Lazika; construction for the trainstation at Akhalkalaki is in full swing, the Pipia Villa in Tbilisi will be completedin mid-2014 and the presidential library in Tbilisi will open its doors at thebeginning of next year. Meanwhile, the three Düsseldorf projects haveevolved: construction has begun for the FOM Hochschule in Derendorf andplans are underway for the Hochhaus RKM 740, a high-rise directly on theRhine, and the urban block Quartier M with a high-rise at Hauptbahnhof in thecity center. We created the Neue IdeenReich for Autostadt in Wolfsburg andthe courthouse building in Hasselt (realized in collaboration with a2oarchitecten and Lens°Ass) celebrated its opening in September after severalyears of construction. The Sonnenhof, a building project commissioned by theCarl Zeiss Wohnungsgenossenschaft housing association in Jena, welcomedits first residents in November. We have redesigned and expanded historichomes in San Francisco and Copenhagen. Our sculptures and installationswere presented at a major solo exhibition at Eigen+Art Lab in Berlin and inmany group exhibitions, including those at the Berlinische Galerie in Berlin,Art Basel in Miami, the Museum of Arts and Design and the MoMA in NewYork, Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich and the Shenzhen Biennale. TheSchaustelle, a temporary cultural building in Munich, found phenomenalsuccess as a venue for various events by leading cultural players. We will becarrying this momentum into the next year and are looking forward to manymore successful collaborations.

In January 2014, Andre Santer and Hans Schneider will be joining aspartners, bringing their many years of visionary, team-leading experience tohelp shape and develop J. MAYER H.'s trajectory of success. As of 2014, wewill be operating under the name "J. MAYER H. und Partner, Architekten."

2013 war ein ereignisreiches Jahr, in dem wir viele nationale undinternationale Projekte mit großem Engagement umgesetzt haben. InGeorgien konnten wir die Skulptur auf dem Pier in Lazika fertigstellen, dieBaustelle des internationalen Bahnhofs in Ahkakalaki läuft auf Hochtouren,die Pipia Villa in Tbilisi wird Mitte 2014 fertig und die Präsidentenbibliothek inTbilisi schon Anfang kommenden Jahres. Neue Ideenreich geschaffen. Das Gerichtsgebäude in Hasselt, das wirzusammen mit a2o-architecten und Lens°Ass geplant haben, feierte dieEröffnung im September nach mehrjähriger Bauzeit. Der Sonnenhof derCarl-Zeiss-Wohnungsgenossenschaft in Jena wurde im November bezogen.In San Francisco und in Kopenhagen haben wir historische Wohnhäuserumgeplant und erweitert. Eine große Einzelausstellung bei Eigen+Art Lab inBerlin und viele Ausstellungsbeteiligungen unter anderem in der BerlinischenGalerie in Berlin, auf der Art Basel in Miami, dem Museum of Arts and Designsowie dem MoMA in New York, der Pinakothek der Moderne in München undder Shenzhen Biennale zeigten unsere Skulpturen und Installationen. DieSchaustelle in München, der temporäre Kulturbau, war durch die Bespielungverschiedenster Kulturakteure ein grossartiger Erfolg. Mit diesem Elan gehenwir auch ins nächste Jahr und freuen uns auf weiterhin gute Zusammenarbeit.

Ab Januar 2014 werden Andre Santer und Hans Schneider als Partner demBüro beitreten, und stärken durch ihre langjährige leitende Erfahrung bei J.MAYER H. die Entwicklung unseres Erfolgs. Wir firmieren dann 2014 unter "J.MAYER H. und Partner, Architekten".
