Search and Rescue Wet Deck Solutions Protecting SAR and Medevac Helicopter Interiors Against the Harsh and Corrosive Effects of Water and Biological Fluids www.gvhaerospace.com Protect Your Asset The Search and Rescue (SAR) and Medevac operating environment provides a challenge for helicopter operators. Salt water and body fluids are harsh and corrosive to aircraft structure. A wet winching retrieval can bring up to 7 litres of salt water onboard the helicopter. Our wet deck solutions (also known as a sea tray) provide a protective barrier for the helicopter deck as well as a safe and protective work area for rescue and medical crew to recover a survivor or patient into the helicopter. Flexible, Durable, Rapid Installation We have standard wet deck solutions for the most popular helicopters used in SAR, medevac and offshore oil and gas operations. Designed as rapid role change equipment, our wet decks can be installed in minutes, giving you the flexibility of configuring your helicopter rapidly from the passenger transport configuration to a SAR/medevac configuration. Our wet decks have been deployed in some of the harshest operating environments, providing trouble-free service and high resistance to wear and tear. Our wet decks are manufactured from waterproof material and reinforcements in high wear areas, and tested for flammability against EASA and FAA requirements. The wet decks attach to the cabin floor through the existing floor cargo rings and seat track fittings and do not require aircraft modifications. We have manufactured more than 50 wet decks that are currently in use with many international helicopter operators.
