PROCEDURE TO ENTER THE PRESCHOOLArrival at school Parking: Parents will park in the Preschool parking lot, wear face coverings and maintain 6-feet physical distancing from others.
Line-up: One parent or caregiver per child will line up with student alongside the fence that separates the Preschool parking lot from the school’s Elementary/MS playground. Line-up will be either on the Preschool side or Elementary playground side using the indicated fence signs or ground markings to respect physical distancing.
Hand cleansing: Hand sanitation stations are located at each entrance of the facility and all parents and students will sanitize their hands before entering the campus.
Gate screening: Once at the gate (entrance to campus), a SDFAS staff member will check all adults and students’ temperatures daily with a non-contact forehead thermometer. If any adult or child has a temperature of 100.0 F/ 38 C, he/she will not be allowed to enter the school and will not be allowed to return to school until fever free for a period of 72 hrs.
Fever: If a staff member/student/parent/caretaker is found with a fever above 100.0 F/ 38 C and has one or more of the following symptoms (cough, fever, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, sore throat, abdominal pain, diarrhea, chills, muscle pain, new loss of taste or smell) the school will request that the individual be assessed by a doctor and get a COVID-19 test.
Sign in: The caregiver will sign in his/her child in the Procare App and the staff member will record the child's temperature as OK or not OK.
Entry into the classroom The parent who escorts the child onto campus will not be allowed to enter the classroom and will leave their child(ren) at the door.
Drop off should be as brief as possible.
Exiting the school will happen via the emergency exit gate near the sandbox at the far end of the playground.
Pickup up time Parents will wait at the main Preschool gate and an SDFAS staff member will accompany the students to them one at a time.
The caregivers will sign out the students using the QR code on Procare App.
