1ST scene:

SOLENE: (Singing)

I couldn't aspireto anything higherthan to fill the desireto make you my own.Badum badum bee doodily dum! Boo!

She imitates the instruments of a jazz band. Then she plays the following dialogue, using different voices for each character:

SOLENE/Sugar: l guess he's not gonna show up. It's five minutes to one. Do you suppose he forgot? SOLENE/Daphne: Well, you know how those millionaires are... These came for you.

SOLENE/Sugar: For me? They are from Shell Oil! SOLENE/Josephine: No!

SOLENE/Sugar: Yes! He wants to have supper with me on his yacht. He's picking me up at the pier.

SOLENE/Josephine: No!

SOLENE/Sugar: Yes.

SOLENE/Daphne: You heard her - yes.

SOLENE/Sugar: Josephine, just imagine. Me, Sugar Weinachter, on a millionaire's yacht. lf my mother could only see me now…

SOLENE: Dance break (She imitates again the instruments of a jazz band, then she resumes the song:)

SOLENE: I couldn't aspire...MATTHEW AND NATALIE: (Singing) Ua, ua!

SOLENE: to anything higher...

MATTHEW AND NATALIE: (Singing) Ua, ua!

SOLENE: than to fill the desire / to make you my own.

NATALIE: Just for me!

SOLENE: Badum badum bee doodily dum! Boo! / I wanna be...

MATTHEW: What?

SOLENE: loved by you / just you and nobody else but you / I wanna

NATALIE: Aa aaa...

SOLENE: be loved by you / Ba deedily deedily deedily dum /Boo boo bee doo!

Last scene:
