Script for soap opera – 1 st Draft EXT. CRIME SCENE – DAY Post crime scene begging to be revealed, you can see some bodies and debris from crime. EXPERIENCED ONE (VO) When you’ve been in the business this long, let’s just say you know what to do and what not to do CUT TO… EXT. ALLEYWAY – AFTERNOON The EXPERIENCED ONE is talking on the phone, angrily to someone else involved in the drug business. Script for soap opera – 1 st Draft

EXT. CRIME SCENE – DAY

Post crime scene begging to be revealed, you can see some bodies and debris from crime.

EXPERIENCED ONE (VO)

When you’ve been in the business

this long, let’s just say you know

what to do and what not to do

CUT TO…

EXT. ALLEYWAY – AFTERNOON

The EXPERIENCED ONE is talking on the phone, angrily to someone else involved in the drug business.

EXPERIENCED ONE

We can’t afford another slip

up, otherwise the Boss won’t

keep you on!

He hangs up the phone, but doesn’t take it away from his head for a few seconds before walking down the alleyway and stressfully pulling his hand through his hair. He continues to his car where he sits in the driver’s seat and looks in the mirror, which then reveals the passenger. His tone of voice changes and becomes friendlier (as if they didn’t know what he is involved in)

EXT – CRIME SCENE – DAY

Continues to reveal more of the crime scene, revealing more about what’s happened but not actually giving any context.

THE NEWBIE (VO)

I had such high career goals.

I guess not everything in life

goes as planned…

CUT TO…

INT. BEDROOM – DAY

THE NEWBIE is putting a stack of paper bank notes into a brown envelope and then hiding it under the mattress in her room, before picking up her rucksack and going to leave the room. When half through the door, she looks around worryingly, and then continues on her way out.

CUT BACK TO…

EXT. CRIME SCENE – DAY

Revealing more of the crime scene.

TOMMY (VO)

I suppose I’m a family guy, most

of the time. But sometimes I can

EXT. CARPARK – DAY

Tommy is angrily shouting at a car door he is slamming, but isn’t completely closing. The object that is blocking the door is out of view.

EXT CRIME SCENE – DAY

Revealing more of the crime scene.

THE FREAK (VO)

Crazy people live in denial, but

because I know I’m crazy, that

means I’m not crazy… crazy right?

CUT TO…

INT. EMPTY ROOM – NIGHT

A shot of THE FREAK sitting, head down and clutching at his hair. He is twitching and looking very shifty and suspicious.

THE FREAK is sitting in a chair whilst Tommy is pointing a gun at his head.

TOMMY

You think I’m just letting you

get away with this?!?!

CUT TO…

EXT. SECONDARY SCHOOL – AFTERNOON

“The Freak” is leaning against a wall outside a school as you hear a school bell ringing and kids leaving. As one of the kids leave, she makes eye contact with him and he follows her away from the school (to make a drug deal)

CUT BACK TO…

INT. EMPTY ROOM – NIGHT

THE FREAK is being held at gunpoint by Tommy again as continued from earlier, and he leans forward and pulls the gun into contact with his own head. He holds eye contact with Tommy at all times.

THE FREAK

EXT. CRIME SCENE – DAY

We see the entire crime scene, and it reveals a mysterious figure throwing down a body’s jacket after pulling a gun out of it and putting it in his own pocket. He then walks away, leaving the crime scene behind him.

CUT TO BLACK

Displays the title of the programme “Fast Lane” and all of the viewing information (Times, Channel)
