Itinerary of trip

• Leave Saturday am, no later than 6 am.

• Travel “on the road” one night, Chicagoland. Arrive in Ely, MN, late afternoon, on Sunday. Tear down of stuff and pack for the next day.

• Monday am-load outfitter’s van and travel to Mudro Lake.

• Camp 6 nights. Cover ~ 70 miles of water

• Pickup and shuttle back to Ely, MN and drive south to Duluth.

• Drive to KY the next day, to see Noah’s Ark replica. Home the following night.

Food

• Bring what you want, for the van. $20/day for food, while travelling.

• Expect a grocery store stop while travelling, not a convenience store.

• Expect education on what to eat

• Expect low processed grains and sugar and low in trans fats. Expect lots of fresh fish, whole grains, fruits, veggies, fats, meats, cheese and dairy.

Day in the life

• Early wake up for Cary and a cook

• Paddle 4-8 hours. Be done no later than 2 pm each day.

• Setup campqqqqq and complete task assignments

• Daily “life” lesson by SM/ASM.

• Fast response to conditions: rain, bugs, sunshine. Mile swim may commence at any time!

Election of Crew Leader

• The Crew Leader assigns roles, picks campsites, gathers group together for events, accounts for everyone and authorizes permission to fish/swim after chores are done. After the trip, he brings together all photos and stories to create an album for distribution.

• polarfleece), two shirts, shorts, extra socks (cotton or wool), extra underwear, one hooded sweatshirt or light jacket, and two sets of footwear. See Jeff’s demo.
