Cups & Medals 117 ranking competition entries this year
As a grassroots club we are picking up a few cups and medals. We can’t
claim full credit for this as twenty or so players train with City of Glasgow Club
and Talent Squads and are regular competitors.
The club has 12 players in the top twenty of their age-groups nationally and
Scott, Katie, Ewan, Ellen and Iona are in the top ten.
Ewan won the Russell Hogg trophy at the Under 11 Nationals
and the Ken Hand Quaich at the Anglo Scottish Under 12s
both for meritorious performance
Our club invested £915 for 193 entry fees (up 46% on last year) – 51 different players took part

Commentary
The last bank statement I have is dated 2/6/17 Balance was £2,952.22 (We have a shuttle invoice of £335.00 to pay)
We have £378.40 in the float. We have half a dozen tubes in stock.
Our income comes from membership and weekly fees. Our expenditure on court hire, coaching, junior league and shuttles. The rest are transient or incidental expenses. In the last 8 months we have broken even around £5,500 mark.
The club remains strong financially and we can easily run for another year even anticipating costs. However since March 2014 our balance has reduce by ~£1.4k

Vetted by Glasgow Life, officially
a “Well-run club and a good place for kids to play sport”
You don’t have to join the committee to help out.
People doing one small thing makes it easier for everyone.
If you have any skills that could help the club don't wait until we find out!
• We are looking for new committee members.
• We can recycle previously loved rackets to new players. Having a few
spare rackets, especially for smaller kids available helps. You'd be
surprised by the number of players who turn up with their sports gear,
water bottle, money and no racket!
• We are always keen to add to our volunteer coaching team, if you know
anyone who may be interested please let us know.
• A keen photographer
